In very shocking news, AI’s Adam Lambert has confirmed what the world already knew, that he is indeed gay. Adam appears on the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” says the American Idol runner-up.
Adam continues, “I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.” Adam however is wary of becoming the poster boy for gay civil rights, “I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader.”
Adam also says he didn’t want to “come out” on American Idol, but rather wanted to do it on his own terms. “I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing,” Lambert tells the mag. “I’m an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn’t matter. Except it does. It’s really confusing.”
In other news, Adam also signed a record deal with RCA Records. His record is set to be released this fall. We reported yesterday that AI winner, Kris Allen has also signed his record deal.

Adam Lambert looks like a young Elvis I really think he will be the next Icon. Adam Lambert you are one of the most talented singers they had on Idol and second being Carrie Underwood. You can really touch the soul with songs that pertain to real life, love, and when you sing you let it all out WOW. I will look out for your album release can’t wait. Mr. Adam Lambert you will be around I am sure for a long time with new music sound you will share with the world.
Down the road of life Try to think twice and then again I’m sure quite a few will want a piece of you. Just like all they greats that have been taken down by fame.
