The biggest question of the first season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was where is Dina’s husband? In a show that follows these women and their families, it raised a big question mark that Tommy Manzo made zero appearances on the show.
Dina has claimed that her husband decided he did not want to be on TV, which is strange considering the fact that he appeared on VH1′s My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding not too long ago. Their episode can be viewed below. The highlights on their episode included -
- They invited over 600 people to their nuptials.
- Dina admitted Tommy had cheated on her numerous times during their 5 year relationship.
- Tommy saying he was marrying Dina because it was the right thing to do.
- They supposedly ended up spending $1,150,000 on their wedding.
- Dina admits Tommy was dating someone else for a year during their relationship, basically two timing her.
Interesting. A skinnier Caroline Manzo also makes appearances during this episode. Others have speculated Tommy did not want to do the show because he was unhappy with the way he came off on the VH1 show.
Tommy, 44, co-owns the Brownstone along with Caroline’s husband, Al Manzo.
We have been reporting the rumors circulating that Tommy and Dina are separated, and that the separation is allegedly his reason for not being on the show. A source alleged Tommy had moved into an apartment near the brownstone with a younger girlfriend.

Who is Tommy Manzo, check out his body language on the video/photo of them on the couch. He wants as far away from her as he can get. Tommy humilated Dina during the wedding show and talked to her like she was a dog in front of his office staff. He told her to GO away..and she marries this PIG anyway.
Dina was right, the wedding was a big party for The Brownstone ala Tommy.
Dina shouldn’t walk..she should run away from Tommy Manzo and hope she survives.
The negative body language I am referring to is the picture at the very top. There is an editors cut and the whole time Tommy doesn’t move near Dina. This just sticks out at me.
What kind of fiancee says he “will have to kill his bride if she doesn’t marry him”? Really…think about it.
Wow, so this is the mysterious Tommy Manzo. For some reason, I’d pictured him looking something like Teresa’s husband, Joe.
So this is the husband who, as rumor has it, is shacking up with a younger woman across the street from their business. Although, I read elsewhere that, not only did Danielle start and circulate this rumor, but that she also made a play for him in her psychotic attempt to destroy Dina’s life. Normally, I’d think far too much blame is being heaped upon one woman, but Danielle is anything but normal, so I’m open to the possibility of her guilt.
I feel like I’m missing a big piece of the puzzle by not having seen this footage from ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding’, so I appreciate Marti’s informed comments, especially concerning Tommy Manzo’s body language. Interesting!
I distinctly remember watching that “wedding” show.
Dina walked around to her guests’ tables showing them her jewelry & TELLING them how much each piece cost. *rolling eyes*
I also remember her near “breakdown” because Tommy was being being very inconsiderate, demanding & couldn’t have cared less about her feelings….

There are numerous “reports” that Tommy Manzo is gay, and that this is the reason for their supposed separation. No way of knowing if this is true unless you dig up one of his possible boy toys, but more than one blog/source has discussed it.
this is a complete opposite depiction of what real housewives depicted dina as. im appaulled by this whole video. her daughter’s best interest wasnt at heart when she married him. this video shows the true her. getting belittled by tony in front of her own daughter. caroline aint stick up for her lil sister then. she is a gold digger for sure. shes smart for marrying him for the money and shes dumb for ever expecting his love time or affection ever. and notice how they never had childrent together. thank God. dina’s daughter has a very smart mouth might i add.
and notice how she cared more about the wedding than tony. if this is what you call a wedding i pray never to wed, and caroline got so fat.

I’m with you nycgirl. I must say I was also very surprised to see the way the acted during her wedding show compared to her “persona” on the Real housewives show. It seems to be two different people.
The “I’m a bitch, I don’t take crap from anyone” Dina was missing from My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding. In her place was a needy and insecure woman.
He’s HOT? LOL. That’s nuts. I’d sooner date JOE than that guy, and that’s not saying MUCH at all!

I’d say that this show and the RHW show pretty much tell me all that I need to know about this family.
They took the fun right out of this series, imo.
The million dollar jewlery Dina was showing off was not hers. If you recall Caroline walking up the stairs to Dina’s room to help her get ready for the wedding, she says she has the jewlery, and is holding it all in her hand. The Jewlery either belonged to Tiny (not in the mob) Manzo’s Mother….or it was Caroline’s.
Tiny (not in the mob) Manzo had a half a million dollar life insurance policy that he took out three weeks before he was murdered. The Insurance company didn’t want to pay because he lied on his application about his diabetes. The Court made the Insurance Company pay and just charged the (not in the mob) Manzo’s the 3,000 dollar premium.
I digress, my guess, the million dollar jewels came from money out of the casino Tiny (not in the mob) Manzo fleeced.
You know, for someone who wants everyone to believe they are not Mob related, Caroline sure does lay it on thick to the contrary..”My family,..We are thick as theives”. Blah…blah..mobster talk..blah..blah.
And how is Al (not in the mob) Manzo’s best friend, Former NYPD (not in the mob) police commissioner Bernie Kerik ??? Bernie got Caroline the German Sheopherd to Protect her………..

For those that don’t know who Tiny (not in the mob) Manzo is. (He weighed 350 lbs) He is the (not in the mob) Father of Al and Tommy (not in the mob) Manzo. He was a Gambino soldier who fleeced a casino and he was knocked off by the Gambino family with his partner in crime. Both found, murdered in the trunk of their car.
Caroline and Dina will tell you he was not in the mob, and the crime was never solved, and everyone was clueless to why he was murdered. Local Law Enforcement will tell you that Tiny (not on the mob) was a Gambino Soldier and was murdered for the theft at the casino.
I picture an old suitcase full of green backs somewhere at the Brownstone. Nothing like old money.
Thank you Marti! I’ve been saying that if Caroline really wanted to put these mafia rumors to rest, why in the world does she use phrases like “thick as theives” and hang around Kerik? Perhaps she has no idea that the rest of us, who actually AREN’T IN THE MOB, don’t do stuff like that because it would draw attention to the fact THAT WE COULD BE IN THE MOB? Just watched the show MBFFW and I still love Dina and thought she was great. Tommy, I don’t know, he seems to have been very involved in the business but what man isn’t and if the family didn’t work so hard they would not have such a successful Brownstone. Caroline has “matured” physically but so have most people our age. Just another family trying to live life the best they can.

If Tommy is gay, then surely he and Dina would’ve worked out an arrangement beneficial to them both and stuck with it, else why go through all the trouble and huge expense (especially in their case) of a wedding and a marriage? Oh, unless it was always understood that they would divorce. Hmmmmm.
And what about that woman Tommy’s suppose to be living with across the street from the Brownstone?
tommy and dina are cuter than poop! i love dina; her sense of humor, her depth of emotion, etc. etc. the thing you take from this wedding is not the “bling” but the fact of what she said, if they didn’t love each other they wouldn’t be getting married! and every marriage, every relationship has its speed bumps!
Dina needs to get rid of this guy, and focus on her daughter. Kids grow up so fast you never see it coming. She doesn’t need Tommy, and she surely can get a much better man than him. I’m all for her – she seems the realist, except for Caroline, of all the women.
EVERYONE LISTEN UP……Let me tell you about the ‘REAL’ Tommy Manzo! I knew him ‘very well’ during his courtship with Dina. He is a tremendous person, who would do anything for anyone, anytime/anywhere! He is a stand up guy, who works like a dog, to give the people close to him, the very best his hard work has to offer! Dina a.k.a Queenie, is a very lucky woman, who should count her blessings and be grateful for every minute she has to spend with Tommy. For all you ‘haters’ out there- if you could spend 5 minutes with Tommy and realize that he isn’t the bad guy here….I wonder who is???? The only man Dina makes very happy is Neiman Marcus!! Ive said my peace and now I feel better. The Housewives of NJ are truly a boring group of women, who have nothing better to do with their lives that hate on each other. Sad! They should’ve just kept the series to the O.C. they are the best! They are so much hotter than NJ, NYC and Atlanta. Since when did being a fat ugly housewife interest, bring on so much attention! Tommy gay?!?!?! circumstantially it makes soooo much sense. Him never being around/always running around at the Brownstone. Dina was all googly eyed for him whereas he looked ‘resigned to his fate’. Plus she’s a penniless divorce working stocking shelves in a nail salon and the next she’s a celebrity designer/party planner? Him inviting 600+ people…that whole thing was for show and to “prove” something.
and the poster who asked “why go through all the trouble and expense of a marriage??”" How naive are you?!?! At the very least have you never seen ANY of the bride shows on TLC or WE? Unfortunately weddings very often have less to do with the marriage than the actual act of getting married and putting on a show.
dina deserves better! she is a class act! she is true to who she is. i like the fact that she can stand up to the stronger personalities and say,
“i am tired of all of you”. she is not going to lose her sister or her brothers wife and theresa is terrified of losing that family b/c without them she will have no one. so dina in her quiet way runs the show. i hope she continues to set a good example of what a quality woman is. if this is true about her husband, she definately deserves a better man!
