Following the June 22nd episode depicting the much-hyped divorce announcement, viewership has significantly declined on TLC’S Jon & Kate Plus 8. The Season 5 premier had an estimated 9.8 million viewers compared to the 2.4 million viewers that tuned in this past Monday.
The show has been placed on hold but plans to return on August 3rd. According to TLC, this will give the Gosselins time to adjust. Despite the family issues, Kate plans to continue taping the reality hit. In a recent statement released on Tuesday, the Gosselins say they will no longer speak to the press.
“Our goal is to do the very best for our children and that will be done as privately as possible,” the Gosselins wrote on TLC’s Web site. “We appreciate the understanding, support and well wishes from so many.”
Their goal is to do the very best for their children, yet Jon is supposedly writing a book in which he ‘exposes’ Kate and heaps blame on her, the mother of his children.
Wish they would have gone into counseling. Well Kate for starts.
She is a damanding wife, a perfectionist, and there isn’t anything that that poor man can do right, in her eyes. She talks to him like he was her 9th child. She has humiliated that poor man more times that I can count.She has taken his manhood away from him. Like he said he gave he free reign, and in doing that he lost himself. I’m glad to see he is TAKING BACK his manhood and she can’t handle that.
And after the statement she made “she had to do what she (file for divorce) had to do AFTER what Jon did on Father’s day weekend(also again Kate was out of town). What did he do so bad…….sign some autographs……that’s why she got ticked off because she CHARGES fans for autographs and Jon was doing it FREE.SHAME ON HIM.What a terrible man. She’s NUTS.
The children are not safe with him. Give me a break. She spent over 50 days on the road ALONE….. WITHOUT the children promoting her book and shagging with her bodyguard. And where were the 8 while Mom was out galavanting???? Oh that’s right BIG BAD DADDY HAD THEM.
Shame on her. She has her priorities all screwed up.

Did anyone notice that Kate NEVER wore a 2 pc bathing suit in the 5 years prior to her now wearing her bikinis. I watched the last show Monday night, TLC did a show of clips of the previous years (Hawaii,Bahamas and other beaches) and that stuck me that while she was married to Jon she wore a 1 pc and than started wearing the bikinis while all this crap was going on around her. Nice way for a Mom to act.
She drove that poor man away.She has no one to blame other that herself. Too bad she didn’t think of the 8 like she so often proclames, she’s only thinking of her children………….so in other words SCREW JON.
OF COURSE the rates went down! They advertised it as reruns (“the last ten years”)
The last two were nine and ten million viewers.
There will be around that August 3rd, when the next new show is scheduled.

ok y’all, you can’t blame Kate. They both have a role to play. Don’t forget Jon was caught with another woman while married. It’s tough raising two kids not to talk of raising 8 kids, it does cause a strain on your marriage.
I wish they chose counseling before calling it quits.
