The season finale of Soapnet’s Southern Belle: Lousville ended tonight with quite a shocker.
We first find out Kellie decided to stay in Louisville rather than moving to Chicago with her boyfriend, Jeff. Kellie decides to end her pattern of depending too much on the men in her life. Was very happy to see Kellie make this choice. Something about Jeff just doesn’t come off right. He seemed a bit cold in my opinion when telling Kelly he did not want to have children with her in the past episodes.
Julie decides to take charge of her life, and asks a younger guy out. The show says they two are still dating. Emily breaks the news of moving to Vegas to her father, who finally gives her his blessing. Hadley finally sees what we all see in Russ and decides to end things with him. We also find out Hadley and Kellie will be working together on Kelly’s new dating business – “Dating Sucks.“
The show definitely saved the best for last when we see a much thinner Shea tearfully talk about her heartbreak. Shea informs us that she found out her fiance, Jeff Stovall, was cheating on her the same week her mother died. To make things worse, Jeff was with the other woman the night her mom was being buried.
This was quite a shocker. Though I had heard the rumors that the engagement was over, I did not expect it to be due to infidelity. The two seemed to be loving together, especially when Shea gave in and agreed to get the big house Jeff wanted.
There is a rumor going around that the woman Jeff cheated with was Katie King. The same Katie that Hadley was campaigning for in earlier episodes. I’m not certain on the accuracy of this. Others are saying Jeff is still with the woman he cheated on Shea with, whomever that might be. I really felt for Shea tonight. Having to bury her mother and cancel her wedding in the same week has to be tough. According to the show, Jeff refused to appear on camera to talk about what happened.
UPDATE – It’s pretty much confirmed that the woman Jeff was cheating with was indeed Katie King. Shea also updated her facebook status last night sarcastically saying “Your Honor Katie King.” Katie is a Judge by the way. Pretty pathetic for someone in Katie’s position to do such a thing.

I have never really cared for Shea and felt for Jeff-seemed like she was setting him up for a lifestyle he couldn’t afford or wanted. But I felt for her tonight. She has lost SO much weight. I don’t care how much you don’t want to be with a person-end the relationship BEFORE you cheat! What scum. I didn’t know about the Katie King rumor, but that’s interesting. They would run in the same circles, so it could be possible. Wouldn’t be very smart for her to do in a small town where everyone knows your business and she’s in politics. I knew they weren’t engaged anymore because I’ve seen some pictures of them recently and she wasn’t wearing her ring. She wouldn’t take that off for anything, so I knew it was over.
And good for Kellie staying in Louisville!
I love this show as well! Keep your head up Shea, better to find out now than later. Plus I thought it was a big negative the fact that Jeff allowed Shea’s dad to help him financially with buying Shea’s ring. I hope she kept that ring. Katie can kiss her future career in politics goodbye!
Shea was dating a trainer at my gym after her and Jeff split up. I admit that I had it in my head that she was a spoiled rich girl (before I watched the show) but when watching the show she was the one I liked best. More down to earth than I thought she would be. And Katie King is a skank ho that did not deserve to be a judge at all! Shea deserves much better!
This has nothing to do with katie and everything to do with what a crazy stuck up bitch shea is.
For the record, katie was told jeff and shea were OVER before they started seeing eachother. so get your facts straight and if anyone should have the finger pointed at them it should be Jeff, not Katie. He is the link that laid all of the lies. And, just because shea got played doesnt mean that she was an innocent victim either.

I heard that Katie tried out for the show and didn’t make it. It seems logical after all that has happened (with the Jeff, Shea, and Katie situation) that Katie did WHATEVER it took to “steal” some of the spotlight. I guess it worked. Good job judge!

Friends much with Katie, Elly? You are right that the blame lies with Jeff. That said, describing Katie as opportunistic would be an understatement. Of course she knew they were still engaged. More important, so did Jeff!

I don’t live in Louisville, but I have heard the same rampant rumor about Jeff and the Judge.
I was surprised to find a defender of Katie’s since a cursory google search reveals *A LOT* about Ms King. Reality Tea would have a field day with a write up on a judge whose former boyfriend filed a restraining order against this, um, lady judge.

Then why would Katie King continue to see Jeff after his lies were exposed? He was playing both ladies. Why would Katie want someone that does that to his fiance? Does she like sloppy seconds? It has nothing to do with Shea, she did nothing wrong. Blame lies on Jeff. But now that Katie obviously has decided to continue to see Jeff, she shares part of the blame. And Jeff chose a tragic time in Shea’s life to abandon his relationship. He’s cruel! I think Katie King must be insane to pursue anything with this Jeff character. He’s not even remotely attractive. And we know he’s not a good person, so what’s left? We’ve already seen those things he calls dance moves. he’s pretty pathetic. He should pack it up and leave l’ville.
Katie King is a joke so I am not surprised she would date a man who lied to her and cheated on his fiance. God help us all if her dad decides to run for Mayor of Louisville and buys that election too.
Shea is a shallow, self-absorbed moron. She spent all that time trying to extract a ring from Jeff. Never mind whether or not they were right for each other or ready for marriage – as long as she got that ring and the attention that went along with it! Foolish, shallow, idiotic, narcissistic tramp. This should be a lesson to all – good marriages don’t start with one partner pressuring the other for a ring.

Hmm; by “opportunistic,” are you referring to the other woman’s alleged terminated pregnancy in February 2008? Are you implying that the image of an expectant, unmarried, Roman Catholic judicial candidate would not have resonated with the show’s producer? Louisville voters? Jeff? Just sayin’.
Does anyone know how Shea’s mom passed? I’m a fan of the show and was just curious. Shea is still young and it’s just very sad. I wasn’t sure if she was ill for a long time or if it sudden. Shea is a strong woman!
Truth is, Katie King did get asked to be on the show and she was More than ready to participate..

KK’s Campaign Advisor: “I thought it was your DREAM to be Judge?”
Isn’t the City of Louisville SO lucky that we have a little girl with questionable morals whose daddy bought the election sitting on the bench? It doesn’t make me have a lot of faith in how the legal system operates.. sad thing, being an attorney and all.
