Former Bachelor star, Jason Mesnick and his new fiance Molly Malaney are gracing this week’s cover of US Weekly magazine.

The coupon discusses their engagement details, as well as the hardships they had to go through in their relationship. Jason famously dumped his former fiance, Melissa Rycroft, on national television to begin dating Molly.

When asked why he dumped Melissa, Jason reveals, “Melissa is a great girl, but there wasn’t any chemistry,” he admits. “So I broke up with her after Christmas, about a month after we wrapped.”

Jason admits the controversial After the Final Rose taping wasn’t the ideal time or place to try to rekindle things with Molly and win her back. “Obviously, I didn’t want it all on TV, but I had to take the chance if it meant getting her back. I’d rather have picked up the phone, trust me!”

Jason goes on to reveal a somewhat surprising tidbit when he says Molly gave up being the next Bachelorette to be with him. He tells US that show producers — a week after his ill-fated proposal to Melissa — “kept asking me if I thought Molly would make a good Bachelorette.”

He however realized he was “not willing to let Molly go on TV and have 25 guys fight over her.” If Jason’s story is to be believed, this would mean Jillian Harris was the third choice to be the Bachelorette, as Melissa also declined an opportunity to do the show.

I really liked Jason, and he was my choice on Deanna Season.I was disappointed when she chose Jesse. I knew it wasn’t going to worked. When the Jason Season started I chose Molly among the Girls and after that I quit watching.I watched the finale And when Jason dumped Melissa on National TV and wanted molly back.Nobody put a gun on his head to proposed to melissa on National Tv and then changed his mind later. and he didn’t have to agree with what the producers wanted him to do because he was under a contract. He had no backbone.Marrying someone that wasn’t your choice could ruin both your lives.Anyway to make it short It was a disaster. To me there all in it together. It was to create drama, entertainment, and big ratings manipulated an exploited by the producers it was because they sold out in exchange for fame money and publicity and all the perks that came with it.I am glad Jason realized his mistakes and came to his senses. Better late than Never. He has to endure all the backlash and suffer the consequences. After all the drama I wish them the best and love conquers all if they really love each other and want to spend their lives together for the rest of their lives. Good Luck You all! Toodles!!

Who really cares about the two losers? They are still trying to get their 15 minutes of fame.
