We had a poll question this week asking which Bravo Housewives series is your favorite, and so far, the Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise seems to be in the lead, with the Real Housewives of Orange County coming in a close second.
My favorite franchise would have to be the Real Housewives of New York City. No, it does not have any table flipping, wig yanking drama, but it does have a cast filled with interesting characters. Where else can you find the crazy eyes of Ramona, Bethenny’s great one liners, the Countess’s delusion of grandeur, Kelly’s air headness, mixed with the desperate social climbing ambition of Alex and Simon.
The NYC franchise comprises of what the Housewives series was originally about — focusing on great characters rather than grande drama. I actually find myself looking forward to February, when the 3rd season will be back on the air.

I agree, I like the NYC best.
I don’t like the shows that have become centered on the feuds between the ladies because of the shows themselves.
Orange County used to be my favorite until the Tamara/Vickie problem started. I’m sick of them not being able to move past the Gretchen thing.
When “the show” becomes more of a story line than the storylines in these women’s lives, it is self serving and stupid.
Somebody call the fashion police. They look no better than the tranny mermaid.
Without a doubt, my favorite is the ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’. Actually, this was the series that first caught my attention. I caught up with the others through reruns and watch them now, but I feel like I’m marking time with OC and Atlanta as I await the return of the New Yorkers each season.
I agree that the New York series is more cerebral and intense in its verbal interactions and subtle shifts in relationships. And it’s the relationships between the women that are the driving force in the show. I’m not interested in seeing Bethenny interact with her boyfriend or Romana dine with her husband. I want to see the women interacting with each other, through the good and the bad.
Withdrawal from the New York Housewives was made a bit easier last season with the introduction of ‘NYC Prep’ and, of course, the unexpected hit, ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’, which was so different from the New York franchise I didn’t think it possible to become involved in the show, but I certainly did!
I hope the D.C. version turns out to be the most interesting of all. That would be nice.
I watch them all and like some more than others, I’m certainly entertained that is for sure. I like NYC and NJ the best though. NYC, because their life style is so different than mine, Their kind of money, Their status, something I can not relate to but enjoy watching, but at the same time some of them to me,are pretty down to earth,others are a little ” smell me” and goofy.
NJ, because I can I get a kick out of them, I find them funny and over the top.
RHNYC is my ultimate fav, thanks to Bethenny and her one liners!

The NYC housewives are just PLAIN BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get me a pillow and I’ll fall asleep within minutes.
The NJ housewives are just so UNEDUCATED and LOW CLASS though they have money, they need more education!!!!!!!!!
The OC Houswives are fun to watch because now WE’RE FINDING OUT HOW BROKE MOST THESE HOUSEWIVES REALLY ARE!!!!! THE ONLY 2 DOING WELL ARE GRETCHEN AND THE NEWEST GIRL. BROKE ARSES!!!!!! SO WE KNOW THAT SHOW IS ALL PRETTY MUCH A SHOW FOR THE CAMERA’S AND NOT A REALITY FOR THESE GALS!

OF COURSE, I DO NOT KNOW THEM PERSONALLY BUT, THE NEW YORK WOMEN SEEM TO HAVE THE MOST CLASS. THEY ARE INTERESTING PEOPLE WITH INTERESTING LIVES. ALL OF THEM. I TRIED TO WATCH ALL THE REST OF THE OTHER SERIES BUT, THE REAL WIVES OF ATLANTIC CITY SEEMED TRASHY TO ME AS THE NEW JERSEY BUNCH, TOO. SOME OF THE ORANGE COUNTY WIVES, (NOT GIRLFIRENDS) APPEARED MORE CLASSY AND THEREFORE I DID WATCH THEM. JUST COULD NOT GET INTO ALL THAT CUSSING AND FIGHTING SO ONLY WATCHED A FEW PROGRAMS OF ALL THE REST.

I also wanted to get this off my chest. In the TV movie about Ike & Tina Turner Ike says to Tina regarding the beatings “Can you imagine what you would be if I hadn’t done it?”
I was so reminded of that line when Simon says in one of his testimonials that “Yes, he might be controlling but can you imagine what she’d BE if he weren’t?” Creeeeepy. Not good.

i absolutely love Kandi! I think she has such a positive energy about her and has so the most integrity out of all the housewives ive seen on all the franchises! i love her and if the camerasare depicting her accurately she is an amazing person!!
OC is by far the best one and most interesting for sure. Cali girls are the best. NYC all they do is talk smack it’s annoying their so boring. NJ and Atlanta have not ever caught my interest. OC F.T.W.
