The three finalists performed one more dance during the finale of Dancing with the Stars. At the end of the night, entertainer Donny Osmond and partner Kym Johnson were crowned winners of season nine. “I did it!” Osmond exclaimed, promptly rushing to the audience to find his wife, Debbie, whom he carried across the stage.
Donny beat out the two other finalist celebrities — singer Mya, 30, who had consistently gotten high marks from the judges for her technical skills, and reality show star Kelly Osbourne, 25, who came in third place.
“I’m just so happy to have made it to the finals,” Mya said after the loss. Kelly was also gracious, thanking the audience and saying she had “grown so much” during the show.
During the result show on Tuesday, the show welcomed back all the celebrities from season 9. Whitney Houston also performed yesterday night. At age 51, Donny becomes the oldest winner ever to win the mirrored-ball trophy. He also beat his sister Marie Osmond, who came in third when she competed on the ABC show back in 2007.

I like Donny, but like he said he has been in show biz since the age of 5, a lifetime.
Donny’s dancing for me was too much production type of dancing, like Vegas or Branson. Over the top..
Mya on the other hand was beautiful to watch and very exciting and made you want to learn the dance.
Kelly was darling but not on the same level as the other two.
I think Mya should have won.
Mya is a great and exciting dancer, but is more technically trained. Donny really excelled and was also very exciting and fun to watch. All the best to Donny with his victory!
In my opinion, Mya was the clear and obvious winner. Kelly was the most improved this season. Donny’s dancing simply reminded me of staged productions~similar to what he has done for a lifetime. He was asked to join DWTS last year and declined, then he took dancing lessons. He may be considered the winner, but, in my opinion, Mya and Kelly are the REAL winners. Congratulations to them ALL!
