As the second season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta ended so has their relationship off camera. The ladies attended the Soul Train Awards in Atlanta where Kandi Burruss and Sheree Whitfield revealed that their friendships are only on screen and once the cameras stop rolling so does their “friendship”.
“It’s a working relationship,” Sheree told BET.com. “We don’t hang out. I don’t wanna say it’s just for the show. We were put on the show and we were not friends so it’s something that you have to build. Am I saying that would never happen, no I’m not saying that? But right now, it’s just a working relationship.”
“We do not make up things for TV,” Kandi told BET. “The arguments are real, the bonds…I don’t know about the bonds. I mean, of course because we have to be around each other for the show, you know? I don’t know if we would always hang out that much.”
It’s no surprise that their on camera “friendship” is almost as fake as the title “Housewives”. At least we can give the Atlanta housewives credit for being honest.
It’s pretty obvious from watching the show that there is no friendship among any of them. Competition and rivalry, yes, but who on earth would want to be Kim’s friend? That’s the problem w/ all of the housewife shows. They try to make it a soap opera but can’t b/c they all hate each other.
I think they should do one in Greenwich CT. Those women are the ones w/ real money, connections and secret lives.

I like the idea of a show in Greenwich, what about Boston? or Chicago? or Seattle, I am sure that there are lots of Housewives who maybe actually are friends and get along and then you toss in a Danielle and there you go…DRAMA!

Maybe BRAVO needs to re-build the franchise around women who have the capability to be friends. Kandi, Kim ( for the drama)…and 3 and ladies. Nene and Sheree are broke and Lisa is boring.
I have to admit, the Atlanta housewives show is hilarious. At least they’re original. I saw the reunion show today and was cracking up. Dwight was talking about his penile implant, they were all laughing at one another’s embarassing stuff, etc. All of their lives are a huge disasterous mess. I find it entertaining.
I enjoy watching the atlanta housewives…my all time favorite would have to be ne ne….i love her realness..there is nothing fake about her…sometimes people have a hard time accepting people who are loud n real……khandi is also one of my favorites….kim…just plain fake…she has a way of playing the victim all the time…very sneaky…..has anybody heard about her having an affair with a married cop in her hometown….back when she was a teenager….damn she has always been a homewrecker
Who cares? I hope they put Victoria Rowell on the show so she can put all these stupid B!#ches in check. I’m tired of Lisa and Kim anyway. If they go it wouldn’t matter to me.
