ABC is set to air the wedding of the Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick and fiance Molly Malaney.
The two-hour special titled “The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding” is set to air March 8. Shockingly enough, this will only be the second wedding in the history of the Bachelor franchise. The special will include Molly’s dress fitting, planning for the big day, bachelor and bachelorette parties and the ceremony. Past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” couples and contestants will reportedly be on the guest list.
This isn’t the first time ABC has aired a Bachelor wedding. Trista Rehn and husband Ryan Sutter, who met on “The Bachelorette” in 2002, also had their wedding televised on ABC. It proved to be a big hit as it drew more than 17.1 million viewers.
Jason and Molly’s upcoming wedding will mark the latest twist in the Bachelor’s narrative that’s extended through a couple of seasons of the Bachelor franchise. Jason was one of the final two bachelors on DeAnna Pappas‘ edition of “The Bachelorette.” He became the first single dad on “The Bachelor” after being dumped by DeAnna, and then proposed to Melissa Rycroft in the finale, only to change his mind and break up with Melissa on national television and instead choose Molly.
All seemed to end well as Melissa got married last December, and Jason and Molly got engaged back in October, 2009.

Can’t these people do anything privately? Or is it all about the almighty dollar? They got engaged in New Zealand on a free publicity trip. Although, I must admit, I will definitely be tuning in.
not tuning in – can’t stand him – not because of the whole “dump the girl on national TV” idiocy – he’s just way too wimpy.
I will definately be watching!
I think it’s awesome how things turned out… “everything happens for a reason” and they are where they are because of going thru what they did – good or bad. If ABC wants to “pay” them to televise, why not? Who couldn’t use some xtra cash for doing what you’re going to do anyways =)
Jason, Molly & Ty… I wish you all the best of life!
Way to show all the doubters out there
Yes, I will tune in. Melissa Rycroft just used Jason to win so she could then further her career, which she did. She was in love all along with her boyfriend Tye Strickland, who was her boyfriend before she went on the show. Then as soon as she won on the Bachelor, she then started cheating on Jason with Tye. That is the real reason Jason broke off with Melissa. After Jason broke it off with Melissa, Melissa then openly started seeing Tye, they became engaged and have since married. Melissa was always in love with Tye and used Jason.
Anyway, Jason found the right girl in Molly who went on the show for all the right reasons, not to further her own agenda like Melissa had done.
Yes, I will tune in and wish them the very best.
I will definitely watch Molly and Jason’s wedding. They were judged harshly and did not deserve it. I totally respected their positions both during and after the show. They deserve and are entitled to the great love that they displayed for each other in the end. In fact, I’m excited to witness this great wedding!
If I am home I would probably watch the wedding. Of course, I’m glad that Melissa will not be there. She is just to needy and wants to demand attention. This is the brides day and not her’s.
However, if I turn the tv on and see Melissa, I would tur away.
