Week 2 of Dancing With The Stars brought us some phenomenal dance moves but the topic on every one’s minds seems to be the drama involved with some of the dancing couples.
The most intense fight came from Kate Gosselin and her partner Tony Dovolani, who even threatened to quit during one of their rehearsals. It all started when Kate complained that she was “stressed,” Tony then said, “Nothing in dancing is natural to Kate.”
“He feels like I undermine him as a teacher,” Kate, 34, snapped to the camera before telling Jon Tony, “You’re not taking into consideration how I learn!” Kate walked away saying, “I’m done, I’m done today.” Tony then removed his mic pack and said, “I quit!” causing Kate to break down saying, “I don’t get it!”
Shortly after, Tony came back saying he overreacted, and the two made up. Kate then said, “A lot of people quit on me in my life.” Tony has also said he regrets telling Kate he quit.
In other DWTS news, the highest score of the night went to Pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger, who did a very impressive jive dance with partner Derek Hough, earning them the first 10s of the season. The couple received an outstanding 28 points out of 30.
Coming in second was Olympic ice skater Evan Lysacek, who received a 24 score for his high energy jive with partner Anna Trebunskaya.
In third place was rumored couple Erin Andrews and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Their fluid foxtrot earned them a 23 point score and a compliment from judge Bruno, who said the ESPN reporter has “natural elegance.”
At the bottom this week was once again Kate Gosselin and Buzz Aldrin. Kate earned a score of 15 as she looked extremely mortified and robotic while attempting to do the jive. Buzz earned a score of 12 as his foxtrot failed to sizzle.

@Kally – You’re forgetting how unfair the show has gotten. Nicole Scherzinger has been dancing since she was 4. Evan Lysacek has been dancing on ice since he was young as well. Of course Kate Gosselin is going to look awful next to them.
Why the hate towards her? Would you guys rather she hang out on welfare and her kids live a crap life? How pathetic and toxic is your thought process?

According to the judges, it is fair because Nicole and Evan don’t have formal dance training.
She did make the fight all about her…did she apologize to him at all? I didn’t hear it if she did…
Sheesh…..this is why I quite posting at ABC. All everyone complained about when Melissa Rycroft was on was that she “used to be a Dallas cheerleader”….and Shawn Johnson….she was an olympic gold medalist in gymnastics….
They were NOT professional dancers anymore than Nicole or Evan are.
As for the hate….hmmmmm…..Kate Gosselin put herself out there on reality TV and then through the tabloids with her divorce. She deserves everything that anyone says or writes, good or bad. She’s not on DWTS to make a better life for her kids, she’s there for the fame. End of story.
I hope Kate stays on the show so she can show what a dramatic shrew she really is. The dancing was terrible too, she looked like my dog when she stands on her hind legs…lol.
The kids are probably happy to have “mommy dearest” away as often as possible.
@Lauren – Kate is a nurse – there’s no need for her to be on welfare EVER. Her kids are all in school full time – she needs to get a J-O-B. She spent the entire time J+K+8 filming time shrieking at Jon, emasculating Jon, and never, ever, ever apologizing to him or to her children for her horrible behavior and ridiculous temper tantrums (not that he’s any better or any kind of a prize, but hell – she picked him). Now she’s got Tony to kick around, make miserable, and emasculate for awhile and we’re supposed to feel sorry for her???? Sorry – she need to GO.

@Christina – Please don’t tell me you are buying the “It’s a different type of dancing”. I grew up figure skating, tap dancing and ballet dancing. Last year I took a ballroom dancing class for fun and put everyone to shame. Why? Because I had an advantage. Of course Evan and Nicole are going to say that 20 years of dancing is different from Ballroom dancing. Why would they be dumb enough to admit that they have such a huge advantage over the other castmembers, that clearly never had any training.
On what planet can a nurse make $25000 a month (pay of J+K+8)? Please let me know so I can go to school and work as a nurse on that planet. Yes, Kate has the personality of pitbull… But to dehumanize someone for wanting to give their children a better life than they would have if she worked a regular job is just ignorant. If you feel that way about parenting, please bolt for an abortion office. You should be willing to do whatever it takes to not victimize your children for having too many siblings. Hats off to Kate for that one.
I’m not sure whether I’m allowed to post a link or not but according to Popeater, our wonderful Kate was trying to get Tony fired.
I was actually shocked at how nervous Kate always appears to be. Not only can she not dance, has no rhythm whatsoever, she’s like a deer in the headlights when the camera is on her. I was surprised after reality show thing for so many years. Apparently when she cannot control the environment it shows.
@Lauren – as one of 10 children, I can tell you that we didn’t have a lot of material things growing up, no trips to Seaworld, or Ace of Cakes, or custom play houses for each child – what we did have were caring, hardworking parents who made sure we had everything we needed, that we knew we were deeply and individually loved, that we could count on our parents to be there for us, that we valued each other, and that we had the dignity and self-esteem that comes from earning the things we wanted. We all grew up to be educated, professional, hardworking men and women with wonderful families of our own (and none of us has ‘run for an abortion clinic’). No, Kate won’t earn the equivalent of $25K an episode, and she might have to cut back on $7K haircuts and $35K makeovers. But she (and Jon) are certainly capable of getting jobs and earning livings that will support their children without exploiting them.

Jon and Kate had no idea that they would be in the public eye with all the TV appearances and such when they DECIDED to “try for one more”. How were they going to support the family when they first realized they were carrying sextuplets? They went into that decision with their regular jobs. Surely, they didn’t have TLC or DWTS then. Back then, Kate worked as a nurse and Jon worked as some computer guy. Sure, things were tough, but they were doing it. Who is to say that they couldn’t support their 8 kids like that before??
That’s the whole point everyone seems to be missing. Kate has always said she wants her 8 kids to enjoy the same type of life as if there only 2. Before the sectuplets were born the twins had a nice life: Disney world trips, Florida beaches, tons of toys, etc You guys should really watch some older J+K+8 episodes bc it shows Kate before she got snooty and her intentions were in the right place. She wants her kids to have skip trips, Disney World trips, COLLEGE TUITION MONEY FOR 8 HELLLLLOOOOO, you name it. I will never knock a parent that is doing what she can to give her kids an above average life.
Well, you know what Lauren? If Kate wanted her kids to have everything that only 2 kids would have, she should have stopped at 2. She’s nothing but a skank and a greedy one at that.
Her kids need a MOTHER, not a bankroll. Kate wants all that shit for herself, not for her kids. If that wasn’t the truth, why does she spend so much time away from them? Who’s taking them on all those trips and doing so much for them? Oh — that’s right. They’re at home waiting for mommy to return from her latest jaunt across country, and the NANNY is doing everything for them.

I was shocked Shannon must not have had the telephone votes that both Buzz and Kate had..for every person who dislikes Kate there must be another who feels BAD for her. I thought it would REALLY be a slap to her ego if Kate left and Buzz stayed–can you imagine?
I am not abig Kate fan But to be fair what Tony said that he teaches teachers to dance WHAT.? Of course it is easy for teachers to learn form him.
Here is a woman that has no never even had a ballet class her no idea what this man is asking of her.
He needs to realize she has no clue just as he would have no clue what to do in an ER for example that once was her word nursing as a profession HE needs to get agrip.
