The infamous feud between Real Housewives of New York City stars Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel seems to have taken an interesting turn. It now seems the most hated housewife of the moment Jill is ready to make up with her former BFF.
Jill posted the following question on her facebook fanpage last night, “So..what do you do when you have a fight with a friend..and you don’t want to make up yet…then when your ready they don’t want to?” It’s easy to figure out she’s referring to Bethenny, whom she coldly turned away time after time during her reconciliation attempts on the show.
Bethenny has however made it clear she does not wish to reconcile with Jill, saying, “there is no hope of reconciliation,” while adding “I don’t want the toxicity in my life.” Can you blame her?
The question now seems to be is Jill even sincere? Not since the backlash against Nene Leakes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, has a Bravo housewife received so much backlash and negative comments from fans. A Bravo poll even showed 97% of the fans are against Jill. And unfortunately for Jill, the timing could not be worse as she now has a new book to promote, “Secrets of a Jewish Mother: Real Advice, Real Stories, Real Love.”
With majority of the fans against her, it will prove rather difficult to peddle her new book. Just ask Nene, who only sold 9000 copies of her autobiography last year.
Just how bad is it for Jill? Well after last week’s episode, she received a lot of negative tweets on twitter, and we mean A LOT. And she continues to spend her time deleting hate mail on her facebook page. Jill who typically loves the press has stayed away from doing any press this week, despite having a book to promote. She has also yet to write a blog for Bravo this week, perhaps fearing more negative comments from fans.
Jill is however scheduled to appear on Bravo’s talk show – Watch What Happens this Thursday. That will be a must see episode as the show typically takes calls from viewers and even reads their online messages to the guests.
Interestingly enough, Jill gave the following advice to Kelly Bensimon last year, who at the time was getting a ton of backlash from the fans and the press.
“I don’t think it’s working for her,” said Jill. “I don’t think she should be on the show. It’s not that I think we should throw anybody off, it’s just that I think if I were her, I would not do the show again. I would go back to anonymity and spend the next year trying to repair my reputation. What’s more important to her: her reputation or fame?”
Dear Jill, perhaps it’s time for you to take your own advice. Sincerely, Reality Tea.
