Just weeks after rumors of being the next Bachelorette hit, comes news that reality Tv Queen Kate Plus Eight star Kate Gosselin is actually in talks to appear on the next edition of the Celebrity Apprentice.
“The producers of Celebrity Apprentice are very interested in Kate,” a source close to the show tells HollywoodLife. “And she has expressed interest as well, but there are a lot of kinks to work out before anything concrete can happen.”
Those kinks include the fact that “It’s a six-week commitment and her kids are not allowed to be part of the show; the Apprentices work every day, Monday through Sunday,” the insider explains. “Many people get to the final stages and almost do the show, but it then turns out that they are unable to appear because of scheduling conflicts.”
Adding more fuel to the fire is the fact that the above picture with Donald Trump and his wife was just taken outside of Lady Gaga’s July 7 concert at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
“If they can make it work, they will,” the source finishes. “They both want it to happen.”

This is just a random thought, but its my view that the same viewers who love Alexis Bellino are the same ones who think Kate Gosselin is wonderful.
Maybe I’m wrong here, but the defenders tend to the same line of reasoning in defending these two:
3+ kids, spirituality or religiosity, a woman done wrong who is making a life without a husband (KG) or the “new life” angle (AB), the changed appearance, a “conservative” viewpoint, etc….
I was thinking along these lines because so many posters here and elsewhere just cannot stand either of these two (along with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt) and so many have wondered how come they are still around and who likes these people etc etc
I welcome any thoughts on this.

SHE DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE F*CKEN MONEY TO RAISE THOSE KIDS TO BE ADULTS. There are millions of single mom’s raising many children that could survive on just one of her pay cheques. That is a very good observation I had never thought of it that way, but you are completely right. Kate used to also be all christian when she was going around the country promoting her books. Funny how she didn’t feel “christian” enough to accept used items from her father’s church.
But that’s just it, they are only christians of convenience they will scream christianity when it benefits them but when it is not beneficial they will forget their religion all together. Or have you heard Kate talk about church or being a christian lately? No because she is where she always wanted to be she doesn’t need to appeal to that target group anymore.

I’m not defending Kate for anything that she has done, I merely find it interesting that she is the butt of so many jokes and the object of such derision for trying to support her children. I agree that there has been an overkill of Kate Gosselin, but, to her credit, she has not bounced from bimbo to bimbo to bimbo; she has not purchased outrageously ridiculous material objects – motorcycles, convertables, etc; rented a $5k monthly apt w/NO JOB; pal’ed around with Michael Lohan; slept with everything that twitched in range. She has attempted to insure that her children are fed/clothed/educated to the best of her ability as a single mother. I don’t care for her, I truly believe that both she and Jon were ridiculously unequipped for the life that came their way, she dealt with it by becoming a shrew and Jon became a douchebag deluxe! Neither one of them get a pass from me, but as for her hustling jobs to make sure that she always has enough money to keep her kids together etc…I’m not going to bash her. Jon seems to be a bit useless at this point. He has no visible means of support and between the bimbo bouncing and now the tattoo…he is the winner of the Douche of the Month award!
As long as I’m not having to pay any more of my taxes toward supporting children of stupid parents, I’m a happy camper! I work too hard to pay for someone else’s children – especially like those in the case of the Octomom!
