Monet Stunson, a 24-year-old model from Glen Carbon, IL found herself the second house-guest to leave the Big Brother 12 house last week.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Monet opens up on being ousted, why she shouldn’t have trusted Matt, and why winning the $10,000 prize made her a target.
Excerpts from Monet’s interview is below -
To the casual observer, it didn’t seem like you had any strategy at all. What was your game plan?
I did have a strategy and that was not to win the first HOH and not to win a large prize early on in the game. However, I did win the money so that changed my strategy and put a huge target on my back.
Matt seemed to play you and everyone else in the house. Did you see it coming?
Yes and no. My initial reaction to Matt was that I didn’t trust him, but I kind of let that slide. I trusted him a little too much once he was put up as a replacement nominee. I should have expected it.
Besides Britney, is there anyone in the house you see yourself keeping in touch with?
I might attempt to keep in touch with Kathy or maybe Lane. I will definitely keep in touch with Britney.
You called just about everyone in the house “stupid.” Do you think you played a smart game?
I don’t think I called them stupid to their faces. I tried to play a smart game, but having such a huge target on your back makes it hard.
Rachel’s case against you was that you had already won $10,000 and that you never tried to warm up to her. Knowing what you know now, would you have passed on the money? Would you have been friendlier to Rachel?
I didn’t want to win the money — don’t get me wrong, I’m happy I have it now — it’s just kind of what happened. As far as Rachel goes, I probably would have pretended to like her more … pretended we were long lost friends.
What are you going to do with the money you won?
I’m going to save it.
Looking back, what would you have done differently?
I would have aligned myself with the other girls. I would have been nicer and pretended to like them.
Tonight’s episode will show a third house-guest leaving the BB house. The HOH Matt nominated Andrew and Kathy, with the intention of backdooring Brendon. Brendon however won the POV competition, meaning Andrew or Kathy will be leaving the show tonight.

I want to see Lane leave. He is boring, and his conversation about getting drunk and going shooting creatures is just down right dangerous, and irresponsible. No offense intended Lane.

I like Kathy and have been on the fence about Andrew until last night. He just needs to STFU and stop crying already and WTF was that at the POV meeting? “Rachel & Brenden, I’m coming after you so please use the POV on me.” WhatInTHEEFuck was he thinking?? Seriously overplayed…

The “Brigade” is the dumbest alliance ever on BB! These guys have no frigging clue how to play this game. They screw up everything they’ve tried. I tell you I can’t wait for Matt to GTFOT…he claims to be a mastermind, but yet can’t get nominations right or even play and win a POV competition to make sure that his dumb ass plan to back door Boy George (Rachel) lmao or Brenndon happens!! What dumb ass Matt should have done was put both of them on the block and make them sweat ……the worst that could have happened was that Brenndon wins POV, but them BG would have stood a great chance of leaving. That is how it is done dumb ass Matt!!! I can’t stand him with his I have this game in the bag mentality.
I mean so far those two have been the smart players thus far in the game I won’t be surprise if they smooch and make their way all the way to the final two. Rachel is not as dumb as she lets on and Brenndon is one hell of a player.
Watch one of them win HOH again. Brenndon this time around. I mean from past BB seasons the more you want someone out the harder it becomes. It is almost as if they get nine lives alll of a sudden……I love it.

Rachel and Brendan. I became of fan of theirs right off the bat but after Rachel’s HOH stint, her constant need to have Brit like her (so pathetic) and their endless making out sessions, I’m done!! Can’t even enjoy BBAD anymore because it’s gotten that bad!! :/
And Matt. Dude’s still playing both sides. Seems he thinks no ones on to him but after the dumb ass Noms and loss of the POV, I think Meow, Meow’s (what a STUPID name to give yourself Enzo, lol) catching on. OMGosh, Andrews speech was GRRREAT!!! He must of known he was leaving. To hear him call out pretty much everyone, that was the BEST part of the season so far for me!!!
The only downside to this week….. Knowing that Rachel and Brendan are the HOH!! Gotta agree though. Out of all of them, they’re the only ones who seem to be playing the game. I just wish BB would limit the amount of “making out time” they show us, especially on BBAD. I use to look forward to my 3 hrs of BBAD!!
I would love to see your scenario play out #13 however, I don’t think Rachel would put Matt up seeing how he kept them off the block last week. UGH!! I would much rather see his ass go before anyone elses, that’s for sure!!!
