Is The Bachelor franchise ready to do something it has never done before?
According to Star magazine, that answer is yes! Star is reporting that Brad Womack, who starred on 11th season of the Bachelor in 2007, has been chosen to once again star on the upcoming season. Brad is infamous for not picking anyone during his season, dumping his final two women, Deanna Pappas and Jenni Croft.
“All signs are pointing to Brad being the next Bachelor,” Bachelor insider Steve Carbone tells Star. “And it’s not that far fetched because apparently they asked him last year before asking Jake Pavelka.”
This comes as a huge surprise as ABC had been privately and publicly courting Chris Lambton to be the next Bachelor, but as reported back in August, Chris refused ABC’s offer citing that he wanted to step away from the spotlight and return to his “normal life.”
Star magazine adds that ABC will be making the announcement any day now. PEOPLE magazine is also reporting that the next season of the Bachelor is scheduled to begin filming next month.
How lame.

While this doesn’t seem like a great move to me. I didn’t think Womack was at all interesting the first time he was on. This has got to be a slap in the face to bad actor and bad tempered Pavelka

I saw him on something one time after the show was over and it looked like he had a bad temper, it’s those weird eyes, freaky . . .they look okay in the picture but there’s something not right about them when he’s not posing and trying to look like Mr. Good Guy
Come on, once is ENOUGH!!!!! It’s not that I hate Brad, but I don’t want to see a repeat who’s already had his opportunity. Move on already and give someone new a chance!!!!
How come we never had an african american bachelor???? There is a lot of rich/ successful ones out there.
Angelie i was SOOOOO coming up here to say the same thing…I’m sorry but this show is on season number what… 14 (?), and not ONE African American bachelor????? SERIOUSLY WTF ABC!!!!!!
I hope they get some dudes for him. this one seemed more gay then Jake.
