Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner had a jolly ol Christmas this year by becoming engaged to his Playmate girlfriend Crystal Harris!
Hugh, 84, took to his twitter page over the weekend to announce his engagement to the E! network’s Girls Next Door star. Crystal is only 24-years-old (despite looking like she could easily pass for her mid-thirties) and 60 years Hugh’s junior.
“After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve,” Hugh tweeted. “When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory.”
To further clarify things, Hugh added, “Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all.”
This will make the third marriage for Hugh. In 2009, he filed for divorce from his second wife, former Playmate Kimberly Conrad, after the two separated in 1998 (they have two sons together – Marston, 20, and Cooper, 19). Hugh was also previously married to Mildred Williams; their marriage ended in divorce in 1959. Hugh and Mildred have two grown children – Christie, 58, and David, 55.
Here’s to hoping former Playmate and Girls Next Door star Holly Madison, 31, who dated Hugh for 7 years and publicly stated on numerous occasions that she hoped to marry him and have his babies, only to have to end the relationship because Hugh told her he never wanted to get married or have children again, is being kept away from all sharp objects on this beautiful Monday morning.

Marston was born in 1990 and Cooper in 1991, so they would have to be 20 and 19 years old. It wouldn’t make sense for Hef and Kimberly to get divorced in 1998 and their kids be born after the divorce

Holly stated that she broke up with Hef because multiple pregnancy attempts failed not because he wouldn’t marry her. She said the baby was the deal breaker.

Hef has been told by his board that the lavish parties, multiple girlfriends is draining his personal and company accounts. #4–I have had the same thought about the families. I remember Kendra’s mom just gushing over Hef and I thought that was odd. Well it makes a bit more sense when you think that Hef takes these girls who were often strippers (in Kendra’s case) and nudie models (Chrystal’s case) and give them this nice life. Now that’s something for the parents to be overjoyed about!

I feel bad for Holly as I truly believe that she loved him. And she put up with everything (i.e. multiple “girlfriends” and being controlled by Hef – curfews, etc.) because she thought somehow there would be a chance. Now she’s a has-been at what – the age of 30. I understand though that all three of the girls, Holly, Kendra & I forget the other one – received $6 million before they left.
I believe I read somewhere that his empire is going downhill due to the internet and that he is renting his mansion as it actually belongs to the company. His daughter is the one in charge and Hef is actually just a consultant.

Hefner actually “retired” around 1978 at the age of 52. His eldest offspring, Christie, took over the family dyNASTY/business at that time … at the age of 25. No doubt that at least one of her younger brothers will be ready to take it over from Christie whenever she retires within a few years. The older of the two boys will be 25 in five years. And if, by some contrived miracle, Hef has a child with his dear young Crystal before he finally “checks out” of this misogenist/sexist world …. then THAT particular offspring of his will be in line and ready to step up and take it over from Kimberly’s son(s) at about that future time when HIS retirement is imminent. Just do the simple math …. and then Hef’s REAL reason (or agenda) for suddenly legally getting hitched and producing a couple of kids every 25 years or so becomes glaringly evident.
