Bravo reality star Bethenny Frankel is probably used to being questioned about her weight by now, after all she did receive some criticism for dropping her baby weight too quickly a year ago. However it is her most recent appearance at a Bravo event this week that is now causing a bit of a stir.
Less than a day after we posted photos of Bethenny, 40, attending Bravo’s Upfront party, a ton of the post comments seem to be about her startlingly thin appearance. While Bethenny has appeared skinner in recent months, her latest appearance seems to be her thinnest yet. Below are some of the comments posted by our readers, most of whom are her fans -

Those are just a few. Bethenny, who has penned best selling books about weight loss, has always been open about her past weight struggles. In fact, she revealed to UsWeekly back in February that she was once obsessed with dieting.
“I spent my entire life being obsessed with dieting,” she said. “Bingeing and then fasting or starving. Forbidding everything. That’s how I used to be: up and down 5 pounds every single day, to the extremes. My metabolism was totally wrecked.”
As stated in some of the above comments, Bethenny does have a busy career and is currently on a book tour in addition to being a mom. Here’s to hoping all is well with Bethenny. Below are some more photos of Bethenny before and after.

Ok I’m not going to lie, and neither will I claim this as truth, but I’ve always wondered if she was a coke head. Its just her energy and speech come across manic to me, and ultimately unnatural. But who am I to say? Everyone is different…
On another note, I hate to say this, but I don’t believe that Bethenny will ever be genuinely happy. Therapy on television wont do the work of therapy behind closed doors. And as someone who has many close friends with worse histories that have actually achieved genuine happiness as adults, she just doesn’t seem to fit the MO. Her way of dealing with her issues seems to have helped a little, but these kind of defenses usually end up with a plateau… a plateau painfully lower then what one wishes for.
To sum up my obnoxiously long post… its not that I think she doomed, a person can change their life at any given moment. And not to be a fundamentalist… but I don’t think it can be done with cameras around (ever) and I don’t think it can be done with her schedule, and I’m a firm believer in intensive therapy…
Although I have never been a bethenny fan, I truly wish her the best. I always hope for real happiness for everyone. Even the people I don’t like, because finding that place, is really a triumph for us all. Ok over the top, but thats me! Seriously I’m done
You know you can photoshop anything. I say this because on the show she doesn’t look that skinny. I don’t think she dieting on purpose, the girl just got a million irons in the fire and just needs to slow down and drop some of those projects. She looks more sleep deprived than anything.
Love you Bethanny, but you need to slow it down a bit.
She even looks a lot thinner just since that swimsuit photo taken in Feb. Her cheek bones are popping out and she has super dark circles under her eyes. She definitely has a problem and I really hope she gets help.

I too have noticed her manic behavior and mood swings.
I don’t think that Bethanny is hopeless, but in order to change she must first admit that she has a problem. Being miserable and constantly making complaints about everything(one) and nothing seems to be a gold mine for her.
I don’t see change coming anytime soon if the money keeps rolling in.
In her defense, as you age the fat in your body seems to redistribute. I don’t particularly diet much but I do look like I’ve lost about 10 pounds in the last 5 or so years. I am 40 years old. Now, taking this into consideration, she does need more fat to stay glowing and healthy. If you lose too much fat you tend to look 10 years older than you are….about 10 pounds would do the girl good!
I doubt she is a coke head or she would have had some problems with the baby and possibly be in jail. Addicts can’t just stop doing drugs for 9 months then pop back on – well they could, but you would have seen her going through hell. Not going to say she isn’t on any other legal, prescription uppers though, who knows? She does look terrible in the face. Her body actually looks good to me, because she is petite, but it looks bad on her face. The bone structure is too severe to look good that skinny. She looks young and healthy and skinny in 2006. Much better than now, although she looks more toned. She works out and is constantly working, that can stress the body out and make you lose weight quickly.
I’m sorry, but Bethany is just plain fugly. She looks gross, especially the fake boobs.
I’ve wondered if Bitcheny takes meds for ADHD. And needs the script &/or dosage changed. That would account for some of her problems including weight.
It’s hard to pitch a healthy lifestyle when you look like you could crack a coconut on her razor sharp elbows and jaw. Lots of stars are thin, but if you are promoting healthy eating, this is NOT the look to go for.
I hope this makes her lose her fame. No idea why people bother to watch this bitch on wheels – all she does is bitch and moan about EVERYTHING! And she’s mean. And rude. And, not the least bit funny.
I think she was hoping that she would drop the pounds in her jaw. You are correct she does have serious mental health issues that’s why when she talks about Kelly it makes my head spin. She will snap just watch and when it happens look the hell out.
@helloisitme. Drugs, bipolar or someother DSMlV diagnosis, Bethenny is in trouble. I was a huge Bethenny fan, but now not so much. I don’t feel comfortable watching someone who needs help of some kind and pretending nothing is wrong. Wish the best for her but I agree totally with you.
Her fake funbags don’t even have any flesh to hold on to anymore. This is disgusting. Only in America do you have celebridiots starving themselves to stay famous, when there are other people in the world/country who would gladly eat the food they throw up/refuse to touch. Stop promoting these skeletons with skin already. And she wants to raise a daughter?? Imagine the body issues that poor kid is going to grow up with!
We have been watching and enjoying season 2 of B.E.A., but have been getting more and more weirded out by bethenny’s appearance. Seriously beginning to think shes going anorexic. Who the hell has thighs that looks like pop-sicle sticks? What happened to her nice hourglass shape? she’s on the verge of looking like a refugee from a concentration camp.
To be honest. I don’t think she’s doing illegal drugs. I think someone has her on antidepressants. SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) such as Lexapro or Effexor will effect appetite and can even cause manic or hypomanic behavior. She’s probably had a dose adjustment during her postpartum period. They just need to tone it down a bit.
She looks the same maybe a couple of pounds thinner. The bikini photos are the same.
