According to a new report, Marlo Hampton is the newest castmember of the Real Housewives of Atlanta!
The StraightFromTheA blog broke the news this week as Marlo stepped out to attend an event with RHOA alums Sheree Whitfield, Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey.
And in case you’re wondering, pictured above with Marlo is her fiance NFL Player Charles Grant. And if that names rings a bell to you, it’s because Charles has been heavily rumored to have had a fling with a certain Ms. Nene Leakes. In fact, Nene was rumored to have gotten pregnant for Charles just back in December.
Both Nene and Charles denied the rumors back then but with Bravo’s strategic casting of Marlo, one has to wonder if those rumors were true after all. The StraightFromTheA blog speculates that Marlo was brought on to stir up some trouble with the Nene. Even more interesting, Marlo is said to be a stylist who has styled Nene in the past plus she has an arrest record for assaulting anther female, reportedly over a man.
And as was reported a while back, all of the Atlanta housewives from last season are returning this season so Marlo is not replacing anyone on the show. There had been some rumors that she was brought on to replace Nene but those are false. Marlo’s casting also makes sense as a report came out a month ago stating Bravo is seriously in talks with both Nene and Kim Zolciak to give them their own spinoff shows a la Bethenny Frankel. And we all know what happened with Bethenny as she ended up not returning to the Real Housewives of NYC.
While Bravo has yet to officially confirm Marlo’s casting (they never do until a series is ready to debut), it’s safe to say Marlo is the newest Atlanta Housewife! That is unless Bravo has a change of heart and decides to give her the Fernanda Rocha treatment, aka demote her to an extra because she ended up being too boring. But judging from Marlo’s storyline, that is highly unlikely.
