Following Bentley Williams’ ousting on last night’s episode of the Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert is now opening up on her feelings of “betrayal and embarrassment.”
And unfortunately for Ashley, she did not even get the chance to send Bentley packing as the douchebag simply decided to quit on his own after Ashley confronted him on possibly being there for the wrong reasons.
“I don’t want to stay here. I’ve been saying from the beginning she’s not my type,” said Bentley after lying to Ashley that he had to leave to go be with his 2-year-old daughter Cozy (yes he named his daughter Cozy). “The guys know I’m a frontrunner, but none of them have any idea that I don’t care about Ashley. I had the opportunity and I played everyone,” he later added.
Today, Ashley is speaking out on watching Bentley’s words and actions on the last three episodes of the show. “Throughout the first two episodes, I was very surprised by the things he said, but a part of me still looked for the good in him, and wanted to, once again, give him the benefit of the doubt,” said Ashley in her PEOPLE blog. “After watching this episode, I can’t help but feel betrayed, lied to, and made a fool of. I know many people wonder why I kept him around after the warning I got.”
Ashley goes on to explain why she kept him around for so long. “People may speculate I was attracted to the “bad boy,” or maybe they thought I wanted what I couldn’t have. The truth is that I always look for the good in people, and I saw that in him,” said Ashley. “I only knew what he showed me, and I felt it to be real at the time. I can tell you that from the bottom of my heart, I don’t remember ever feeling this depth of hurt and embarrassment. Unfortunately, it’s not the last you will see of Bentley.”
