According to a new report, Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin is considering leaving the show.
The Huffington Post is reporting Jill and her husband ‘Bawby’ Zarin were dining in Southampton when he was overheard telling Jill she should not return for another season of The Real Housewives of New York.
“Bobby made it clear that it was Jill’s decision but couldn’t understand what she would have to gain from returning to a fifth season,” a friend who sat at the next table to the Zarins reveals. “Her daughter is in college and it’s time to take her parents on the cruise of a lifetime they have always wanted to do. Plus the success of her Skweez Couture and other deals she has coming up are a full-time job.”
The “source” who managed to conveniently plug Jill’s Skweez line, also reveals that Jill, who earns $265,000 a season, doesn’t need the money and wants to leave the show on a high note. Who knew that two-part reunion was a high note?
“The ‘New York’ show has been super successful but next season will never top the numbers they have now and after the failures of D.C. and Miami shows, everyone thinks the high point of the franchise is behind them not in front of them,” a Bravo insider reveals. “Everything has to come to an end. And the reunion show Part 2 ratings were very disappointing.”
Jill is now repotedly hoping to be freed from her Bravo contract which she has 2 more years on. A spokesperson for Jill did confirm that she was at the Southampton restaurant with her husband but declined to comment on whether Jill had made any decision about her future with the show.
Oddly enough, the writer of the article, Rob Shuter, tweeted last week that the RHONY Housewives would find out this week if they were being asked back by Bravo for another season. You have to wonder whether or not this article is a certain housewife’s attempt to save face in case Bravo doesn’t ask her back.
Well if Bravo is listening to America, most of the fans clearly favor the Blondes over the Brunettes according to the polls. And immediately following the reunion, Andy Cohen stated, “Thank you for all your comments on the reunion and the future of RHNYC. Consider yourselves heard loud and clear. There is work to be done!!!” We will find out exactly what work is being done soon enough.
