UPDATE: Bench Arrest Warrant Issued For OC Housewives’ Gretchen Rossi; Vicki Still Going Strong With Boyfriend Brooks!

Another day, another bench arrest warrant issued for Gretchen Rossi.

For the second time in two years, a judge has ordered a bench warrant for the arrest of the Real Housewives of Orange County star. And of course, it all has to do with her ex Jay Photoglou.

Gretchen and Jay continue to be locked in a nasty legal battle over claims of libel, defamation, and slander. After Gretchen failed to make a court appearance on Thursday (she was busy hosting a promotional event in Las Vegas), a judge issued the warrant for her arrest and set her bail at $2,500, reports RadarOnline.

Luckily for Gretchen, the judge gave her until September 15 to show up to court or risk being arrested. It’s likely this latest missed court appearance has to do with the $40,000 Gretchen was ordered to fork over to Jay for his legal fees earlier this year. No word yet on whether or not Gretchen has made that payment.

Perhaps viewers will get to see Gretchen’s legal drama play out on TV as filming has officially began on the 7th season of the RHOC!

We reported last week that old-heads veterans Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson had signed on, and today we can now report Peggy Tanous will also be returning. Peggy confirmed the news via her twitter page after a fan asked her if she was kicked off. She replied, “Of course not. Start filming next week!!! Thanks for your support!”

On Tuesday, Tamra then tweeted, “First day of filming tomorrow….Let the games begin.” None of the other housewives have confirmed their return, but with Peggy’s return, it’s likely Alexis Bellino might also be returning.

And finally, despite all the controversy, it appears Vicki and her beau Brooks Ayers are still going strong. In fact Vicki tweeted days ago that she had just left Brook’s home state of Mississippi. “Heading home to southern California after having a great weekend in MS. and TN. I love my “Southern people”.” tweeted Vicki.

Brooks then tweeted to Vicki: “We both are very happy and feel like we have finally got it “right”.. Have a great day!” This led some to speculate whether the couple might have gotten engaged or tied the knot, which Vicki denied. She tweeted, “Nope.. No marriage.. Just really happy!”

Brooks also assured a fan that all is well between the two. “We have an amazing relationship! I can assure you that what we have, most people want. We both are glad that we didn’t settle!” he wrote. Safe to assume Vicki’s new romance will be part of her storyline for the new season. Below is a recent photo of the two together.

UPDATE – Gretchen’s publicist released the following statement which pretty much confirms what was originally reported –

“After Photoglou’s previous attorney’s dropped him last month, Jay and his new attorney set a conference date intentionally on a day they knew Gretchen would be out of town on an appearance. Gretchen’s attorneys appeared on her behalf and the judge rescheduled the conference. A bench warrant is a standard part of the paper work. It is not an active warrant and only becomes active if one of the parties fails to appear on the new date. “
