The ladies of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop officially return with their second season on November 14 at 9/8c, and this time around, the episodes will be an hour long!
VH1 just released an all new trailer which can only be summed up in three words: Drama! Drama! and more Drama! There are catfights, hair pulling and drink throwing. These ladies make the
Basketball Wives look like rookies!
Returning for the new season are season 1 cast members Chrissy Lampkin (
very long-term girlfriend of rapper Jim Jones), Somaya Reece (“model” and “rapper”), Emily Bustamente (stylist/baby mama to rapper Fabolous) and singer Olivia. There are also two new faces added to the cast: Kimbella Vanderhee (model/girlfriend & baby mama to rapper Juelz Santana) and Yandy Smith (manager of Jim Jones.)
VH1 promises the “one-hour, 10 episode series will follow these six women as they navigate their professional and love lives in a world where opportunity, fame, excitement and money is always in sight … but sometimes just out of reach.”
As for what to expect this season, Chrissy’s still waiting for that wedding to Jim after proposing to him last season. She makes it clear that she’s not willing to wait much longer. After desperately trying to get a real commitment from her son’s father, Fabolous, Emily has finally decided to move out on her own. Olivia‘s new single did not take off despite getting some good early buzz so she is back to hustling harder than ever to launch a solo career and get signed by a major label. And Somaya is also struggling to launch her music career.
In the trailer below, we see Chrissy and newbie Kimbella getting into an all out fist fight, stomping included, after a heated arguement. And Kimbella also reveals to Emily that she dated Fabolous 3 years ago… while Emily was pregnant for him. Yikes!
The trailer is below! Plus photos of newbies Kimbella and Yandy.
