Jill Zarin is doing what she does best – running her mouth! In a new interview the out-spoken former Real Housewives of New York star talks being fired, doing more reality TV (oh no!), and the unfortunate side to C (or is it D?)-List fame.
Contrary to what we all know in our hearts to be true, Jill claims she was “prepared” for being let-go from RHONY. Telling Parade, “I had sort of an inkling over the summer that the show might take a turn,” she admits. “As a family, we weren’t sure if coming back for a fifth season was going to be the best road for me right now, but we were waiting until Bravo made their decision.”
“I believe that what’s meant to be is meant to be, so I sort of let it happen,” she explains of her feelings about being publicly fired. “If they asked me back and that was my path, so be it. And if they said that they wanted to make a change for the cast and that was going to be my final season, I was certainly ok with that.”
“In television, it’s about what you can do to be more dramatic and keep the viewers,” she states, echoing exactly what many fans believe is behind a lot of the cray-cray.
Agreeing with another ex-housewife, Kelly Bensimon, Jill feels the show was a good experience, “I had a four-year run on a very successful show,” she comments. “I’m very proud of what I did. It was just a platform for me,” she explains of how Housewives impacted her life. “I’m grateful to Bravo for opening the door for me in this business that I never though I’d be in — the entertainment business.”
As for how fame has negatively affected her life, Jill claims a lot of the backlash has disappeared since the fans got what they wanted she left the show. “I really don’t take any kind of negativity personally,” she expects us to believe. And now that’s she’s away from the camera, Jill insists: “I am having the best time of my life,” revealing, “I got my happy back.”
“It’s really about this sort of character on TV. It’s interesting, when the show is airing, there’s a lot of chatter on the Internet, but then when the show is off the air they move on to Beverly Hills or New Jersey. I don’t feel any negativity right now.”
Jill also confirms she and fellow mean girl, Bitchtress Countess Luann de Lesseps are still friends. “I’m very close with LuAnn still and Sonja [Morgan] and I have a good relationship. Just because I’m not on the show doesn’t mean that I’m not happy for them.”
And of course – the news we’ve all be dreading – Jill threatens promises a return to television! “It won’t be the last time (I hope) that I’ll be on television. I have a couple things that I’m in the middle of that I can’t share yet.” There have been reports stating Jill is trying to pitch a reality show that will involve both her and Patti Stanger! And Patti might just be available for that show as ratings for the Millionaire Matchmaker continue to dip this season, averaging less than a million viewers per episode, in addition to her recent faux pas.
It seems that Jill’s return to television is inevitable especially since she just signed with a new talent management group, Octogan – which also represents fellow-reality stars Piers Morgan, Dr. Drew Pinsky, and Nancy O’Dell, There Jill will be represented in part by The Hills alum, Lo Bosworth!

It is all about the spin. She sounds sincere until she made that comment about not taking things personally. Huh? Lost me on that one, aka Susan Saunders etc.
Jill is ultra sensitive. Fact is many people are but just own it. That is always her downfall. People see right through the BS and she continues to repeat this pattern over and over. I don’t particularly like or dislike Jill one way or the other, cuz don’t care enough about any of these HW to get that worked up but hate the less than truthful PR spin they just assume we will all swallow. Never talk down to and underestimate your audience. Public speaking 101.
She is the negative force she keeps speaking of. She’s so toxic, she screwed herself out of a job. I don’t expect anyone to actually hire her or give her a reality show of her own because she is too immature, uneducated but likes authority. I also believe that viewers like myself would see her on television and turn the channel…quick! She belongs with Kelly because she is obviously crazy to think anyone likes her.
Uh…Jill, the only direction the show takes is profits. If you were liked by the viewing public, you would not have been fired. Blame anyone you want Jill, but it is YOU, Jill, who is responsible for being fired. Being a two-faced, lying mean girl is not attractive or entertaining. The only positive reviews are those you wrote yourself. Now, scurry away to and play with the other skank Patti Stanger.
BTW, Jill, are your going to wear the ridiculous 80′s Madonna throwback costume for Halloween?

JZ has told so many lies and contrived so many situations to make herself look good and others bad that she will never be a credible person. Threatening to “punch Mario out” and claiming he “shoved” her also proved she was a liability to Bravo. She has the nerve to claim others are bullies. Maybe I missed more episodes than I realize but why does everybody hate Jill again? I mean, admittedly I was laughing a little more on the at-her side than with-her side when she was ice skating around in an aqua tutu two sizes too small, but..? I dunno.. I kinda just feel like all the NYHWs I could take ‘em or leave ‘em.. Alex and Simon annoyed me the most at first but her articulation won me over and I kinda just started finding Simon’s nerdiness endearing. They are just an example but I don’t recall liking or disliking any of the cast particularly intensely. I just watched what happened and figured each of the persons in this particular batch of people initially filled me with nothing more than indifference *shrug* I like some things about each of them pretty equally as much as I dislike some things about each of them I guess
I love Jill. She should get an emmy or some award. Without Jill , we can now say goodbye to the New York housewives.
I likes Jill to. She made mistakes but I think she had a lot of redeeming qualities. I think that she is one of the worst victims of the Bravo formula of needing a villan and while she made mistakes I think if they were not setting up Bethanny for her own show things would not have turned out as they did. I have always felt Bethanny was a bit unglued and unkind and was not a huge fan of her view of the world either. In any case I like rich housewives. I watch the show to see what people with real money do and have. Until recently Bethanny did not fit the discription, neither did the McCords. Jill Zarin does. Also I don’t find Jill any more confrontational than Ramona who can be rude.
58 Mario can be a jerk and had no problem getting highly confrontational with women. Something I always thought odd for a vendor of religious items. JMO

Teresa Giudice should heed how little interest there is in Jill Zarin. At least Jill has a rich husband. Teresa only has food stamps to fall back on. Jill’s already been on tv and flopped. I think Bravo is wise to weed out the whack-jobs. It’s one thing to speak your mind, but when “people” threaten others, accuse others of threatening them or fabricate stories for the media, then I think it’s time for them to go. Also, “people” who aren’t emotionally stable and start accusing others for their state of mind should be released. Bravo does not need any additional liabilities.
