VH1 Confirms New Season Of Basketball Wives! Evelyn Lozada And Jennifer Williams’ Twitter War; Plus New PHOTOS!

VH1 has finally spilled the beans… the original Basketball Wives will be returning for a fourth season on the network. That is good to know, seeing as reports have been swarming about the cast filming in New York City before rounding out the season in Miami. And of course, VH1 is confirming two new cast members for the February 2012 premiere.

Meeka Claxton is out, but we will be welcoming back Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams and Tami Roman, the group otherwise known as the ‘popular girls’ (I wish I was making up this moniker), who will no doubt be creating waves. Also returning for the drama are the girls that can’t quite make it into the coveted (??) inner circle, Suzie Ketcham and Royce Reed.

Joining the party is Kesha Nichols whose fiance broke off their engagement mere hours before their wedding. Additionally, a more notorious newcomer will be on the show as well. Kenya Bell is described by VH1 as someone who “is in the process of finalizing a divorce from a basketball star and is one of the most notorious and controversial wives in the league.” The network also cites the juicy tidbit that Bell’s “infamous reputation is well known by the other wives.”

As for the veteran stars, the site promises that Royce and Suzie still “attempt to navigate uncharted waters as new chapters open in their lives.” Ooh, it sounds almost cryptic enough to get my attention! Tami begins to make her mark on the business world, while Shaunie focuses on continuing to stir the pot “establishing herself as a business mogul.” Yeah, that sounds riveting!

Of course, after Jenn’s radio interview last season in which she had less than stellar things to say about her bestie Evelyn’s engagement to Chad Ochocinco, their friendship has chilled considerably. The new season kicked off yesterday with a special photo shoot (the photos are below) and live video feed, complete with cast interviews on the show’s homepage.

Speaking of Jennelyn or Evennifer, whichever you prefer, the ladies may still be communicating even if they aren’t actually speaking in “real life.” Last week, Jenn tweeted her feelings with a passive aggressive sounding post that seems to imply that she has plenty of friends and doesn’t need Evelyn. I guess she no longer thinks she misses someone…

And back in September, things got ugly between the former BFFs on Twitter when Jen made a generic tweet that stated: “‘Hoes Be Winning.” Evelyn apparently thought the tweet was about her and went off on Jen. Evelyn’s tweets are below –

My circle of friends gets smaller and smaller & I love it. I don’t have time for part time fake friendships. Keep it moving!

#Youshouldbeembarassed that you are living a double life & no one knows who you really are #fake

I’m the last one to mess with when I know all of your business. #subtweet

I’m a ROTTWEILER & your a mutha f-n CHIHUAHUA. I will chew u up and spit u out. “Keep it moving” #TryMeIfYouWantTo

Shots are about to be FIRED. Lets go! Trust me, you won’t win boo!!!

Kind of sad when someone makes a tweet about “hoes” and you automatically assume it’s about you.

Finally, below are new behind-the-scenes photos of the BBW cast as they shot their new cast photos for season 4! Even in the photos, you can sense the tension between the ladies!
