Tareq Salahi presents himself as the depressed and abandoned victim of a cruel adulteress after his wife Michaele Salahi ditched him for the much richer and more famous Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
Well, sources are telling The Huffington Post that the former Real Housewives of DC househusband isn’t as badly off as he would like the public to believe. Insiders are revealing that Tareq is making quite the hefty profit off his schtick as the woebegone hubby and has made an estimated $100,000 in interviews alone since Michaele publicly left him in September.
And he apparently anticipates making much more — particularly since he filed a $17M lawsuit against the high-flying new couple claiming they “profited unfairly off Tareq’s misery… and sabotaged his career in the process” after “publicly humiliating him with their torrid affair.” Does his lawyer need to start writing scripts for Revenge or what!?
“Tareq emailed me days after Michaele left saying Neal was going to suffer huge from this financially and that we needed to figure out how to make millions off of [the split],” a source close to Tareq reveals.
The source adds,”Tareq was the controlling and the calculating one. Everyone close to Michaele is very happy she got away from him.” Indeed, Michaele has accused Tareq of abuse and psychotic manipulations in divorce filings urging a judge to expedite their legal separation because she was afraid of Tareq. Even their former RHODC co-star Stacie Turner has commented that Tareq seemed controlling towards Michaele.
Tareq obviously wasn’t going to take these allegations lightly and retaliated by accusing Michaele of being a “well-known and documented liar” that fabricated her past as a Redskins Cheerleader and misled the public into believing she suffered from M.S.
But insiders are claiming it was Tareq who called the shots in their marriage and used Michaele to generate income. “When they were together, Michaele was not allowed to handle any of her own business dealings,” the source adds. “Tareq would do anything for money, and now that Michaele is gone, he lost his paycheck and is desperate. Tareq put his own divorce documents in the press just so he could comment for money.”
Tareq, of course, denies he has anything to do with the leaked documents — yet one has to wonder as the alleged grifter seems to be a daily staple on sites such as TMZ.
Not only does Tareq deny he is leaking divorce information, he is highly incensed that anyone would assume he is making bank from his wife playing him for a fool! “I don’t know how anyone can profit from a divorce,” Tareq scoffs.
And as to be expected, he is placing all the blame on his soon-to-be-ex-wife! “Michaele destroyed us, and the truth is she is selling interviews which, in fact, will be proved once all the emails and texts are subpoenaed.” Oh for love of all things decent!
Now, Tareq happily awaits vindication once his lawsuit against Neal and Michaele heads to court (presuming any judge would take it seriously in the first place!). “I can’t wait for the jury trial and to close this painful chapter in my life,” Tareq laments.
Well, we can’t wait to hear what any legal professional of sound mind has to say about all of this either, Tareq!

Neverthless, I would like to correct some misconceptions planted by this article.
First, Terd has never sued Schon. True, it was reported that his “lawyer” sent a letter demanding $17M, to which I suspect Schon’s lawyers probably told him to go piss into a stiff wind. But there is no lawsuit pending as stated in this article.
Second, has Terd made some $$ from selling stories to the tabloids? No question about it, but hardly, I suspect, anything approaching $100K. The court filings are a matter of public record. No one needs to pay for those. He obviously did sell to TMZ a copy of his supposed pre-nup to TMZ back in September, since that could have only come from him. I suspect all of that might have yielded enough for some booze and an ocassional hooker, but nowhere near $100K.
Third, the article refers to Terd as an “alleged grifter”, but the article also attempts to paint Michelle [her real name] in a better light, as a potentional “victim” of his obsessive “control”. If you believe that, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. Call them both grifters, for she was just as culpable, if not more so, than he was. They are two peas in a pod, narcissistic sociopaths who emboldened each other in their illusory and faux lives & lies. They really deserve each other. Society, on the other hand, does not deserve either of them.
Fourth, Terd has stated the divorce will be “very public” and he can’t wait for the “jury trial”. News flash for the Terd: The public really doesn’t give a damn, and you don’t get a jury trial for a divorce in Virginia.
So he’ll sue her and she’ll sue him right back, blaming him after the Journey man dumps her for a younger groupie. They’ll kiss, make up and try to shop another reality show. Can we PLEASE stop talking about these losers? They’ll go away if we do–promise!

Glad you got a laugh. When learning about such pathetic losers such as the Salahis, if one doesn’t have the capacity to laugh, it would drive any reasonable person absolutely nuts.
He kept saying Journey’s tour sales increased because of this. LOL. First of all, they did a world tour and were at the tail end of their shows. Their shows were already sold out. Rock fans go for the music, not the Tareq and Michaele/Neal sideshow.
