Love & Hip Hop’s Chrissy Lampkin Talks Jim & Infidelity Rumors; Kimbella Vanderhee Calls Erica Mena a “Crackwhore”

It’s time to be schooled in all things Love & Hip Hop thanks to recent sit-downs with cast members Chrissy Lampkin and Kimbella Vanderhee. On the syllabus this semester? How To Be A Kept Woman, My Man Doesn’t Cheat, Drink Tossing 101 and Crackwhores from the Valley (that’s an upper lever course — you’ll need to take the prerequisite Strippers from the Valley, first).

Speaking with BitchieLife.com, Chrissy discusses her relationship with Jim Jones, those pesky infidelity rumors that seem to follow around those in this industry and what she’s like when VH1’s camera’s stop rolling. A portion of that interview is below.

[Y]ou said on the show that you didn’t work. So does Jim support you currently?

Yeah. He takes good care of me. I don’t care how people take it. I get flack all the time. He’s my man. What–you want him not to? I came up in a time when that’s what men did and aspire to do. What man doesn’t want to take care of his woman? [Before] I was never a person that didn’t have anything. When I met Jimmy, I had my own apartment and car. He’s taken it to a bigger level. I’ll be fine.

Being that you’re with someone like Jim–on a higher level than the average Joe– do you feel you have to accept infidelity as a part of your relationship?

You should never ever accept it. Everybody has individual issues in relationships. Is that something that I want to deal with, absolutely not. Is that something I have dealt with with Jimmy, no. Am I a realist? Absolutely, but I don’t dwell on that type of stuff because it doesn’t come my way.

You’ve never had infidelity issues with Jim?

I can tell you on my life, not once. There’s no girls calling my phone, no one comes to my house, I don’t have it. We have other problems. We’re not problem-free, but that’s just one I don’t have. [People just assume] he’s the worst! He’s a flirt. Don’t get it twisted. He has fun flirting, but I don’t know how far it goes and I don’t look for it. It’s never come my way.

Being that you don’t look for it, are you a woman that is secure enough to know she doesn’t have to check her man’s email, phone and personal things?

I don’t want to do it. It’s not even about being secure. It’s a recipe for disaster because you can see something that’s innocent and if you’re looking for it your mind will tell you it’s something else. I stay away from that. If it’s something real, it will come out and it will come to me. Thus far, I don’t have that problem.

How has dating Jim changed your life?

It’s taught me patience. It’s taught me that if you stick with something you believe in, then God makes great things happen.

What’s your life like outside Jim Jones?

Chrissy likes to be around friends and family. Chrissy likes to take care of her 70-pound dog who I think is my son. That’s my homie. I take care of my house. I do regular things. I’m trying to get into charity work for young girls at the age where they’re old enough to want to do it and too young to do anything about their lives. I think that’s a critical time when they need to be given the tools to make wise decisions. I want to get involved with that.

What do you want people to know about you so they can stop assuming?

I just want people to know I’m well-grounded. My head and my heart are in the right place. I’m a survivor. I’m resilient. I’m a complex person because I’ve seen so much and have lost so much in life; it’s going to take a lot to shake me. I want people to know I’m a solid person. What you see is what you get.

Also on the media train this week is Chrissy’s favorite cast member, Kimbella Vanderhee. She gives a scathing interview to TheYBF.com in response to newcomer Erica’s Mena’s verbal media barrage regarding the knock-down-drag-out smack down between the two which was filmed for the show. Among the highlights, (to break it down Real Housewives of New Jersey style) Kimbella believes that Erica is a prostitution whore. Seriously, she says so in her first answer!

YBF: Erica Mena has been popping off about your big fight this week. She seemed to start going in on you as soon as you opened you mouth and it was your first REAL time meeting?! She says a lot ended up on the cutting floor and the show was shaped to make her look like the bad guy. Do you agree? What’s your side of the story?

I don’t agree. She is bi-polar. In fact, she is a crack whore and you will get to see it in the rest of the episodes brought to you by VH1! She is obviously embarrassed by her actions because she really got to see who “she” really is. She doesn’t know how to conduct herself as a lady and it showed. I basically I was attacked. I tried to stay classy but she tried my patience and crossed the line. It’s crazy to hear her blaming VH1 and not herself.Even the producers were dumbfounded when all this happened.

YBF: Did you know Erica before this?

No! What’s wrong with these women? What did I do to Chrissy or Erica for them to do this to me?

I don’t know her….and I haven’t heard anything great about her. The one thing I can tell you is that folks in the industry are saying before “Love & Hip Hop,” she was found stripping in the Valley and giving bl*w jobs for $200. So that is the career that me and VH1 are ruining?

YBF: There was a rumor that you and Erica were both–at the same time–sleeping with Emily B.’s baby’s daddy, rapper Fabolous, back in the day. And that’s supposedly why Erica has beef with you. She’s denied it. Can you confirm or deny?

I have no idea what anybody is talking about. I dated Fab three years ago…if she dated him three years ago….that’s fine.

YBF: Some people think she’s just purposely causing drama to get a permanent slot on the show and make a name for herself. Do you agree?

Yes. And she wants to talk about me doing stuff for free? She’s not a cast member, so she’s not even getting paid to be on the shows!

YBF: Obviously, you’re having a rough time getting along with the girls. You had a fight on your very first episode of this season with Chrissy. Why is that? And do you plan to do another season with these ladies?

I don’t know how to answer that. We had a lot of positive things go on but the producers chose to focus on the drama. I wish they would make it more even…a little bit of positive and a little drama. Why do they focus on the negativity? They show one aspect of my life, which is the drama I go through with females that I don’t know. It’s always a problem!

YBF: So for the record–WHO WON THE FIGHT?

I’m not about that. We shouldn’t be fighting because we are both grown women. I’m not going to condone fighting.

So ladies, what have we learned here? Well, as far as Chrissy concerned you won’t find what you’re not looking for… especially if what you’re not looking for are other ladies showing an interest in your man. Kimbella’s wonderful life lesson? Classy women don’t condone fighting — instead they talk on the Internet about their nemesis’ penchant for playing button-fly peek-a-boo for pennies. I hope y’all are taking notes!
