Jenelle Evans‘ contentious behavior has caused some of the most shocking moments on Teen Mom 2. Her out of control temper, struggles with substance abuse and poor decision-making culminated in multiple arrests and led her to give up custody of her son, but the devastating events haven’t slowed Jenelle’s naughty streak down!
Jenelle is speaking out about what led to her most recent string of arrests and no surprise, she is taking little to no accountability for her actions! “I actually am confused about the arrest from last week,” Jenelle explains to E!. “I haven’t contacted Hannah [Inman] or [James] Duffy in a month, and I was the first to press charges, so I think they are trying to charge me with things out of spite.”
Hannah initially contacted the police about Jenelle’s allegedly harassing behavior and that led to her first arrest this January. “Hannah does not own a cell phone either so there’s no way I could of harassed her with phone calls,” Jenelle reveals.
“I never threatened Hannah,” Jenelle insists. “I guess she claims I’m a threat to her, which makes me laugh, because I moved 45 minutes away from her three weeks ago to get away from the drama and be closer to school.”
Jenelle was arrested a second time in less than a week, this time for a Domestic Violence Protection Order Violation. According to Duffy, the reason for that arrest was Jenelle’s refusal to remove a naked photo of Hannah from her Facebook wall. This coming from the same man who released scandalous photos of Jenelle all over the Internet!
“I didn’t post any naked picture of Hannah. I have four admins on my Facebook fanpage. One of them must of posted it. I didn’t even know it was posted. After I got arrested, I searched for it and deleted it,” Jenelle adamantly declares. “I really don’t understand why any of these charges are taken out against me.” Jenelle is due back in court February 6th.
Firing back, Jenelle accuses Duffy of controlling Hannah and bullying her! “Duffy is using Hannah to his advantage, I believe. He is forcing her to do this. It’s a known fact, or else she will be on the streets.”
“Duffy is also jealous of my manager and mad that Hannah won’t give it up to him,” Jenelle adds. “This is very disturbing to me, because she is only 19 and he is 46. I wish she would see how dangerous he is and move out.”
Jenelle claims her distressing legal situation has led her to seek psychiatric help. “Now I have to go back to the psychiatrist because I feel like I’m about to have a nervous breakdown. It’s constant harassment against me, having me arrested for petty things. That’s why my probation officer hasn’t violated me for probation. She knows it’s not my fault.”
“I’m hanging on to everything that’s happening this past month,” Jenelle reveals. “I almost reached my breaking point, but went to see my psychiatrist to get back on my medication to help with this depression and anxiety Duffy and Hannah caused. Everything always works out in the end though.”
While Jenelle has been spending time in the care of mental health professionals, the troubled reality star was apparently diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. Jenelle took to Twitter to defend her actions from Tuesday night’s explosive episode, featuring her diabolical fighting with her ex-roommate, Tori. Jenelle has some serious ex-roomie drama!
In response to fans calling her “seriously psychotic,” Jenelle tweeted, “”bi polar disorder sweetheart.” Jenelle reassured fans that she is alright now, “I’m on my medication now and my life has change tremendously.” Well, errrr… I guess you could say things have changed for Jenelle… On the upside, Jenelle seems to be focusing on her classes and hopefully staying away from the drama.
Jenelle’s fellow Teen Mom star Amber Portwood also revealed she has bipolar disorder a while back.

Bi-polar is not an excuse and doesn’t explain all her atrocious behavior. Her mother shouldn’t have bothered to raise HER child, she should have given the kid up for adoption.
Oh, so now any and all bad behavior is now excused because “I have bi-polar disorder”. Isn’t that the excuse du jour for everyone on Teen Mom??!!!!

Oh my word! I’m soo sick of hearing these teen mom drug heads saying they have bipolar! They sound soo dumb. Get off the drugs & you’ll be cured! There are many that do have mental health issues & they don’t act like Jenelle & Amber!
I think she needs counseling for the way she was raised with Barbara. She clings to kieffer bc she desperately wants to be loved. Something she has never had at home.
I really don’t think Jenelle has bipolar disorder. Sounds like she decided to use that since she heard Amber say it.

Excuses, excuses for really poor behavior & decisions by these teen moms. Interesting that both of the known druggies from the show later claim “bi-polar”.
One can only hope if the bi-polar is a legitimate diagnosis that she is staying away from drugs and alcohol. We haven’t seen that to be the case on the show. Can’t mix those substances w/bi-polar meds. She will continue to get in trouble if that is the case. Look at Amber, sitting in jail presently. These girls are a mess. Pitty those poor babies they brought into the world. But I am skeptical of the diagnosis like others as this seems to get tossed out quite frequently for bad behavior.
Bi-polar my ass, she is a bad tempered little brat, that throws a fit when she can’t get her way. She needs to grow up.

Wait, first she claims depression and anxiety then claims she actually has bipolar? Come on! As a mental health clinician, I find it insulting when people throw around these diagnoses without having a clue what it means. Bad temper does not equal bipolar sweetheart. And even if you do have a mental illness, it DOES NOT excuse bad behavior.
Why are all these “teen moms” claiming “bi-polar disorder”? Is there a show psychiatrist who is doing cursory examinations of them from just looking at the films? Okay, I’m a film psychiatrist (not really), so I am giving a different diagnosis: Hellnelle is just a hard-headed bitch who has NEVER followed ANYbody’s rules, school, mama, friends who let her sleep over. She belongs in prison where she can learn to get up by the bell, pee by the bell, go to the comissary by the bell, and exercise by the bell. Oh, and get her screaming-meamee nuts ass whipped by the bell. Once again, NOTHING is her fault. The poor choices, the hateful attitude and lack of responsibility- it is not her fault. All she does is blame others around her and justify her sociopathic behavior on her mother, depression, bipolar disorder blah blah blah blah.

Did I just read she has a manager and fans? This is more disturbing than her reactions to life. She may be a sociopath, but bipolar she isn’t. People who are bipolar have highs and lows. The only high she has didn’t come from a mental condition.
The BEST thing Barbara has done is to take custody of Jace. If she hadn’t, Jenelle would be jerking him in and out of the house and he’d be living in her car etc.
I agree iwth the poster who says she clings to Keiffer out of some sick need to be told she is loved. I remember on the reunion Barbara could not think of three things to say that were nice and/or good about Janelle. It was so awkward.
However, her need to keep smoking pot and fighting and never admitting she is wrong is no her. Lot’s of people are bi-polar…they take meds…they act like normal people.
I think Amber and Janelle use it as an excuse to hide their horrible actions.

You guys really?? Bashing people with bi-polar disorder… EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT and acts differently, and it can be brought on by huge amounts of stress which I’m sure being a teen mom AND ON TV can do. So sad, maybe some encouragement would be helpful instead of bashing her as she previously said people wont quit harassing her.

Nobody has brought to light about Barbra. Obiviously she did a horrible job raising Janelle. She is lazy, ignorant and disrespectful and has entitilement issues. They have now placed another child in her care so she can fuck him all up too! Janelle so wasnt raised right, no love, no confidence and so morals, I wonder just how bad Jace will be, I mean apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
She is mentally ill….the sad part is, if she got a diagnosis, she would just use it as an excuse to act out even more. She’s looking healthier and like she put on weight in that picture, is it recent? Maybe she started some much needed medication. My question is, police intervened in the Amber/Gary fight…..why wasn’t there public outcry with the violent outbursts she had against Keifer and most recently, her roommate? Not to mention, the constant threats she makes against her mother, in front of her child?
I stand behind my statement that Barbra is to blame for a lot of Janelles problems. Barbra is abusive.. where are janelles brothers and sisters? THEY LEFT AS SOON AS THEY COULD!
Barbra is abusive and janelle has no idea that her behavior is not NORMAL. She is looking for love because her mother has never given it to her. She craves love and security. In the last episode when Janelle went in her roomates room acting a fool and refusing to leave? Promise you this is something Barbra has done to Janelle a MILLION times…
Janelle is not the result of a good hard working loving caring mother… It breaks my heart to see Janelle living this way. She needs major counseling not jail. She should be mandated into counseling for one year. Until she gets help she will contine down the path of destruction.. she doesnt know a better way of life. BARBRA HASNT SHOWN HER A BETTER WAY

@Sunshine, would YOU have anything good to say about her if you were Barbara? She body slammed her own mother. She calls her a bitch, shirks ALL responsibility and is an overall nightmare. Having my very own version of Jenelle complete with a grandchild that I’M raising, I can see where it’s hard to say anything positive about a user even if it is your own child. Before you start making judgements, walk a mile. Irresponsible teen moms put a strain on the whole family. I’ve tried it all, now I’m pursuing custody and changing my locks. Momma’s DONE!
@Shut it…things are not always what they seem. Once drugs come into the picture nothing else matters. I have raised 4 kids in a loving home. I have 3 well adjusted kids and then there’s my daughter. She lies, steals, manipulates. It is so easy to shift blame to the mother but when does the teen mom take responsibility? So sick of hearing it must be how she was raised. Sorry if I’m taking it personal but to me it is. It’s very hard when all you wish for are good things and all you get are disappointments. Can you imagine having to raise your grandchild because she flat out REFUSES? I’m sorry but I did NOT choose to have a kid this late in life. Now I’m having to do it all over again (raise her) and fight my own child just to protect my granddaughter. Sometimes life is just fucked up and your kids disappoint. Sometimes you just do what needs to be done and rub on the Ben Gay at night. Yes, I’m an old.

@ debbie i do not believe Jenelle is in the same situation as you. You have raised 3 good, well adjusted children. One fell into drug abuse.This can happen to the VERY BEST PARENTS! Obviously youre not a bad parent and your child went down a bad path…what youre doing is tough love.. your situation is nothing like theirs.
Jenelle has a brother and a sister that do not speak to Barbra, as soon as they were legally able… they left her home and NEVER looked back! I dont believe jenelle has a drug addiction. I think she is self medicating with drugs and drink. Thats a whole different ball game. Barbra is mentally and physcally abusive. Not just to jenelle but with her other children as well. No doubt Jace will get this same treatment as he ages. Barbra is messed up!
If youre a young teenage girl and i call you a slut, whore, scumbag and telll you youre worthless and beat you… get into a fist fight with you.. you as an older adult, me as your minor child.. youre going to feel worthless, unloved.. have no hope for your futute because thats whats been beat into you..How do you know thats not normal? You dont realize its not how normal families function until you recieve some counseling.
Dr Drew should be ashamed! Her paycheck should be attached to mandated counseling. As a doctor, to watch this and not try to enforce some counseling with the contract is ridiculous.

@ shut it. I agree 100 % w all that you said. I also know life can be fucked up and kids turn bad even under the best circumstances. But I believe Barbara raised Janelle in an unloving and resentful way and it is reflected in Janelle’s choices today. @ Deb-i understand why you would take it personal but I don’t think your as messed up as Barbara and not to blame. The Janelle/Barbara situation is a cycle continously passed on until someone in the cycle breaks it. I do believe Janelle is mentally ill and needs help and love…and to stay away from Barbara, Kieffer and all the other losers in her life

These girls are not bi-polar.I’m very sympathtic to them,but bi-polar is being over-diagnosed.
85% of population has bipolar disorder (undiagnosed) and they are different degrees of the illness. Usually hereditary and triggered by something that can’t be really processed or tragic event. There would be less suicides if caring people would take notice and look into peoples’ disturbing behavior ( we have lost a many great people because of ignorance and pride). Most people that used recreational substances are self medicating to overcome these issues unable to overcome. It’s not an excuse but if some just take time to research or even study the people around them you will see that it explain most out of place reactions of your closest circle. Did you ever consider that most of the girls on the show come from unconventional homes- single mothers w/ step-parents, raised by grandparents and foster families, and just seeking for love at early age. BOOM pregnant!
