Ready or not, the first Jersey Shore spinoff is coming soon!
While Snooki and JWoww are currently busy filming their own spinoff, MTV has now released the trailer for DJ Pauly D’s spinoff, The Pauly D Project.
The new series will give fans an inside look into Pauly D’s life away from Seaside Heights, NJ, as cameras document his transition from world-famous housemate to world-class DJ, with his best friends from his home state of Rhode Island along for the ride.
The press release states “viewers will get to see Pauly D chase his dream as he signs a recording contract with rap icon 50 Cent’s G-Note Records, accompanies pop icon Britney Spears on her international “Femme Fatale” tour and tries to balance it all with the array of photo shoots, public appearances and media interviews that are now a part of his everyday life.”
Joining Pauly D on the show are his boys: Michael “Biggie” Morgan –a DJ who became best friends with Pauly D when they were DJs together at Club ULTRA in Rhode Island; Gerard “Big Jerry” Gialanella – the unofficial baby brother of Pauly D’s crew (and often the butt of their group’s jokes), who also serves as Pauly D’s personal security and a much-needed confidante; Ryan Labbe – Pauly D’s partner in crime who is quick to give him a reality check; and Jason “JROC” Craig – known in Las Vegas’ most elite circles as “Mr. Vegas,” and serves as Pauly D and Co.’s West Coast social liaison.
With those intros out-of-the-way, the trailer for Pauly’s show is below! The show seems like a bit of a snoozefest to me, but I’ll let you be the judge! The series debuts on MTV on March 29 at 10:30/9:30c.
