PHOTOS: Meet The Cast Of Miss Advised! Premieres On Bravo On June 18!

You guys, a new non-Housewives, non-real estate, non-cooking show will attempt to stay on Bravo for longer than 5 seconds in a few weeks! Miss Advised, a show following three “relationship experts” and their dating attempts will premiere on Bravo June 18. The women talked to Wetpaint about the show and how it’s a bit different from Bravo’s previous attempts at the non-housewives niche. For one, the three women don’t interact each other.

They all live in different cities: Emily Morse, a “sexpert” lives in San Francisco; matchmaker Amy Laurent in New York and Internet celebrity (I refuse to refer to her as a relationship expert for a few reasons) Julia Allison in Los Angeles and there won’t be any staged “girls vacations” or “lunches” like we see on other shows. The other difference is we won’t see the women try to solve other’s problems, but instead, they’ll have to tackle themselves.

Amy says, “It wasn’t easy for us to expose our flaws. At the end of the day, people are either going to love us or hate us for it — but one thing’s for sure, we don’t walk around acting like our poop doesn’t stink!”

I know a few people who will definitely be hating on Julia. She’s had a long-standing following online since 2007 when she showed up at a Gawker party dressed up as a condom fairy and became hell-bent on becoming a “cult figure.” There’s a lot of information about Julia online, a lot of it is catalogued at her “hate blog,” Reblogging Donk, a site she’s tried to shut down a few times (especially when she dated John McCain’s son Jack in late 2011) and I’m super curious to see if she will mention the site on the show once it airs.

Julia calls the show a “teachable moment” for her, and Emily says ” This seemed like a really great opportunity for me to learn about myself.” I love how people who go on reality television justify it by saying that it’s a great opportunity for self-growth. The rest of us just attend therapy and try to make our lives better, for the self-promoters there’s an endless set of shows!

If you’re interested in seeing Bravo’s latest try at the “young and single in the city” show (you’d think they would have stopped after Miami Social), Miss Advised premieres on Bravo on June 18 at 10 p.m.
