Um, please help me out here. As usual, I am watching Basketball Wives: LA this season, and I knew that Imani Showalter's presence was going to be up in the air. I can't say I'm shocked to see that she didn't return this season, as she didn't bring the drama. However, I am totally shocked to see her Twitter profile picture (above). Is that Imani or her daughter? That is not the Imani I remember from last season. Am I going crazy? It's like that recent episode of Real Housewives of New York when an overly airbrushed Pinot Singer was confused for daughter Avery.
Anyhoo, I digress. So Imani isn't joining the crazy ladies for a sophomore season. Little is known about why she isn't back for round two, although there has been a lot of speculation.

In July, Imani was noticeably absent from newbie Brooke Bailey's birthday party which was attended by most of the cast. This led many to believe that Imani wasn't filming with the other ladies and perhaps had been fired from the VH1 show. However, the following day, other sources assured Reality Tea that Imani was not fired. And maybe she wasn't. It's perfectly plausible that Imani left on her own accord. The drama of the other women didn't seem to suit her, to be honest.
That seems to be the story that Imani is sharing as well. She recently tweeted, "Hey tweeps! Y'all so sweet! Thanks for all the love. I decided that BBW was not my lane but please support all my girls this season.❤them." More power to her for deciding the show wasn't her scene. I dare say it is VH1's loss. You go, girl!
