Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Raising Awareness for Women Trying to Leave Polygamous Relationships

As creepy as I find Kody Brown's hair to be, I think his Sister Wives are some pretty stand-up ladies.  Now they are giving me even more of a reason to like them.  The Brown family is helping women get out of polygamous relationships.  Wait, what?

While Meri, Robyn, Janelle, and Christine love their polygamous lifestyle, they realize that some women are in it against their will.  Meri recently ran a 5K to raise awareness for women who have been kicked out of or are trying to leave polygamous relationships like Warren Jeffs-led Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Robyn recently tweeted her support of Meri, writing, ""Wishing I was going to UT today so I could cheer on @Meri Brown as she runs a 5K to help raise support and awareness for victims of polygamy."

She continued, "If done the right way, plural marriage should give choices not take them away. I know it gave my kids and I a wonderful life and family."

Meri retweeted her sister wife's sentiment, adding, "I feel blessed to have had the chance to make my own life choices. I support those wanting the same thing. Therefore, I run tomorrow."

After she completed the run, Meri wrote, "Great run this morning! Thanks everyone for all your supportive tweets! :-)"

No word on whether Kody and his hair were on hand to cheer his first wife in her race endeavors!
