Reality Bites – Tidbits Of Random News: The Voice & Honey Boo Boo Renewed, Dog The Bounty Hunter Finds New Network

Reality shows are still big business and today's list of series renewals proves just that.

TLC announced today that they have ordered additional episodes of the surprise hit series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo"! The first half of season 1's finale is tonight, but TLC promises they will be back with several more episodes! In a statement they shared, "Alana and her family have become a pop culture phenomenon.  What you see is what you get, and we are excited to share even more of their unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers."

Love it or hate it, Honey Boo Boo and her crew aren't going away anytime soon!

Also renewed for two more cycles is The Voice.  NBC is so confident that even with a cast change up this winter for season 4 (when Xtina and Cee Lo take a break), they've greenlit season 5 for fall of 2013, too.   “With the addition of Usher and Shakira as rotating coaches to join Adam and Blake in the next cycle, we know that this incredibly addictive program will remain even more relevant as we move forward through this exciting season.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter is back with a new name and a new network, CMT.  Tentatively being titled as "Dog", the show will "showcase the next chapter in the lives of the Chapmans as they concentrate on helping other mom-and-pop bail bond agencies facing extinction due to bad legislation, untrained or ineffective bounty hunters, or just plain bad decisions."

The show is set to premiere sometime in late spring or early summer. In the meantime, I'm hoping they'll reconsider that title.  .
