Bravo Rep Insists There Is No Real Housewives of Santa Barbara In the Works!

It seems that almost everyday there's a little buzz about which city will be hosting the next round of Bravo insanity with its own set of overly catty, surgically enhanced, and Botoxed to the hilt drama queens…marriage license preferred but certainly not required.

While the Bravo cash cow has women fighting each other in franchises all over the country, one rumor has been consistent for a while.  Could Bravo be heading to the homeland of Eden and Cruz (yeah, I went there!) to film the next installment?  With the original Real Housewives of Orange County still bringing in the ratings and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills still bringing the most-talked about dramatics, wouldn't it make sense to go back to Cali for the next batch of crazy?

Alas, it appears that Real Housewives of Santa Barbara is just a figment of our collective imaginations.  While rumors have abound that the network was seeking "socially prominent, wealthy women in the plush seaside city" including "at least one prominent divorcee," E!Online is reporting that RHOSB is not happening.

A rep for Bravo says, "Completely not true."  Hmmm….completely not true, or completely not true….yet?  A friend of mine from high school lives in Santa Barbra and reads RT has been telling me for over a year that people are whispering about potential cast mates.  Maybe instead of retiring some of the ladies we have on the current franchises, Bravo should just scrap the entire city and start fresh.  I'm looking at you New Jersey!

Well, even if we aren't getting a new west coast batch of ladies, we still have our stand-bys to enjoy.  Real Housewives of Miami is bringing the drama now, with Real Housewives of Atlanta and RHOBH on the horizon.  In the meantime, between Real Housewives of New Jersey and Real Housewives of New York, I'm counting about about umpteen more reunion episodes to dissect for this past season alone!

TELL US-ARE YOU DISAPPOINTED THERE WON'T BE SANTA BARBARA HOUSEWIVES?  WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM CITY FRANCHISE BE?
