Ratings Continue to Decline for BBW LA! Plus, Is It the Jackie Christie Show?

Phewwww!  At least I'm not the only one!  After a few weeks of watching Basketball Wives L.A., I had started to worry that I was the only one growing bored of its formulaic lunch meetings and cocktail hours where the entire conversation seemed to be centered around what to make of Jackie Christie.  Should the women befriend her?  Should they keep her at arm's length?  Should they order another cocktail?  Yawn.

Apparently, other people feel my pain.  The show's second season premiered to relatively high ratings, but viewer numbers have been in a decline ever since.  I'd like to say that I'm shocked, but thankfully I recognize that the average viewer is a lot smarter than I am and now refuses to turn in to a show that seems to revolve around one character with all the other women just orbiting around her.

According to the Examiner, the viewership has been steadily dropping since the first episode.  The series, which garnered 1.81 million watchers for its 8PM ET premiere, was only watched by 1.4 million people during its second episode's first showing.  That is quite a significant decline!

Now, the numbers are in for last week, and BBW LA has taken another hit, attracting only 1.2 million watchers during its original hour.  For the second week in a row, the ladies have failed to match the viewership of half hour shows T.I. and Tiny (love) and Mr. and Mrs. Jones (people are actually watching that?).

It seems that many people find the show to be boring, believing that it really only focuses on Jackie's storyline and how the other women react to it.  I am sure that makes Jackie super excited, as she's felt that to be the case since the moment she graced our televisions in the first season!

Former friend of Jackie's (and seeming target for her so far this season) Draya Michele agrees, expressing that she feels she's a supporting character in Jackie's world.

Draya recently said, "Yo Jackie Christie is the show !!!!! I'm just co-starring. Lol. She's nuts! Everybody has their part in the show, please try to stay tuned during the really boring parts. Thanks."

You know it's bad when you have the stars of the show calling the show boring!

TELL US-ARE YOU STILL WATCHING BBW LA?  DO YOU THINK IT FOCUSES TOO MUCH ON WACKY JACKIE?
