The Bachelor Premieres Tonight! Ben Flajnik Talks New Season; Plus What To Expect!

The ~~short~~ long wait is over as the new season of The Bachelor returns tonight on ABC!

On the 16th season of the ABC hit show, Ben Flajnik, who was rejected by Bachelorette Ashley Hebert last year after getting down on one knee to propose, returns to find love amongst 25 ~~desperate~~ eager bachelorettes!

When asked if he found love on the show, Ben plays coy stating “I obviously can’t tell you that. But I’m happy with my decision in doing the show. Another good experience. Another cathartic, therapeutic adventure for me.” Hint – He did and is now engaged!

So what is Ben looking for in a potential mate? “It’s important for me to be with someone who’s well-rounded, cultured and flexible,” says Ben, 29. “Not someone who is so used to routine. Because my life is very sporadic. Being in the wine industry, no two days are the same. So those were important qualities that I looked for.”

Ben is also asked if he’s concerned that, you know, pretty much 99% of the show’s relationships end up not working out. “Relationships end whether you’re on a TV show or not. Some haven’t worked out and some have. There are some celebrated relationships on this show,” claims Ben. Good answer!

Ben also assures us that when “all of this is said and done, I just want to go back to my life in Northern California, where most people really don’t know who I am. And I’d prefer it that way.”

As for what we can expect on tonight’s premiere, sensitive New York blogger Jenna has an emotional breakdown over Ben while another contestant Monica — who is reportedly bisexual — shows more interest in a fellow contestant than in Ben! And Brittney tries to snag a first impression rose by bringing her Grandma on to meet Ben.

The Bachelor premieres tonight at 8/7c on ABC.

RHOA’s Sheree Whitfield Talks Child Support & Kim’s Spinoff Drama! Peter Thomas Explains Absence at Cynthia’s Event

What to expect in 2012? Lots of Housewives drama! Happy New Year, RT readers!

With the craziness of Real Housewives of Atlanta drawing to a close, ~~the ladies~~ Sheree Whitfield and househusband Peter Thomas are speaking to Us Weekly about the shenanigans we’ve seen on recent episodes. First up? Fallen friendships…

Since the beginning of reality time, there have been pals whose entire relationship has been shattered by the public nature of reality shows. The originals: The Simple Life’s Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie; the recent: Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada; and the volatile, wig-pulling, song-hating biffles: Kim Zolciak and Nene Leakes.

With Kim and new husband Kroy Biermann gaining their own spin-off on Bravo with Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding (brilliant!), one cast member isn’t sharing in Kim’s success. Nene Leakes, 44, who had her share of pseudo-success outside the Bravo bubble with her stint on Celebrity Apprentice, is reportedly less than thrilled about her former friend’s new found projects.

Sheree Whitfield tells Us, “When Kim told me she was getting her own show, in the back in of my mind, I was like, I don’t know if someone else is going to be too happy. Especially when she thinks that she’s the star of the show.” Whoever could she be referring to in those statements? Sheree even goes as far as to suggest, “I’m sure Bravo hears about it every day.” Sounds like Kim doesn’t even need to get in the ring, as she’s got Sheree “checkin’” Nene for her!

In fact, a report came out earlier this year stating The Nene was threatening to quit the RHOA if Bravo didn’t offer her a spin-off stat!

Speaking of Sheree, the 41-year-old designer also opens up to the magazine about her ongoing battle over child support with ex-husband and former pro NFL footballer Bob Whitfield, 40. The couple has been disputing Bob’s contributions (which according to Sheree are non-existent) to the pair’s two children Kairo and Kaleigh. Sheree, who for a brief period enlisted the legal prowess of cast member Phaedra Parks, shares, “We’re still going through [the courts].”

Sheree believes she has reason for her extreme frustration, revealing, “[Bob's] telling the judge, ‘She has money. I don’t work. I’m retired for X amount of years.’” Um, it doesn’t matter how much either party is making — both of them created those children! Both are responsible for supporting them. She rants (understandably), “He’s healthy! Go get your ass a job!” You tell him! Sheree believes that Bob is extremely “cocky” about the fact he’s not making payments. That’s not good!

Finally, the magazine reports on purported tension between newlyweds Peter Thomas, 51, and Cynthia Bailey, 44. As you all remember, Cynthia just proudly opened her own modeling agency… while husband Peter critiqued her every move and left before his wife could even welcome the crowd. Peter isn’t the most beloved househusband (unless you’re Nene!), as he’s given negative interviews about his wife’s friends and got into a verbal altercation with Phaedra’s husband Apollo Nida at Kim’s baby shower! The nerve!

While on the episode Cynthia was very upset by her husband’s unexplained absence, Peter gives his side of the story to Us, stating, “I left because I was extremely tired. I didn’t think I would hurt Cynthia’s feelings. I am one hundred percent supportive of everything she does.” As for offending his wife’s cast mates, “If what I say rubs them the wrong way, that’s their problem!” That is one way to look at it, I guess.
