Bachelor Pad Is “Not Happening” This Summer; Plus, Sneak Peek Of Desiree Hartsock’s First Date As Bachelorette!

Bad news for fans of the Bachelor Pad. The Bachelor Pad, the place where Bachelor and Bachelorette castoffs go to catch ~~diseases~~ 15 more minutes of fame and a ~~second~~ chance ~~at love~~ to win $250,000, will not air this summer.

Mike Fleiss, the mastermind behind all things Bachelor, nonchalantly tweeted the news. I'm kind of crushed, as Bachelor Pad is trashy summer TV at its finest, and I definitely need more of an explanation!

Reality Steve, the spoiler king behind all things Bachelor, weighed in on the issue. "Not surprised," Reality Steve tweeted. "Ratings good but didn't "fit" with ABC/Disney image."

Fan Edenn tweeted, "OMG just saw Desiree on her first date for The Bachelorette! She's so cute omg & we talked & the guy was so hot."

According to Reality Steve, the lucky guy is Brooks Forester. Brooks is 28 or 29 and one of 10 children. He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah and works as a sales rep at Fit Marketing.

"Desiree's date with Brooks is on Sunset Blvd," Reality Steve tweeted. "They are dressed like they just got married, fed each other cupcakes, and took questions from people."

Following the date, Mike Fleiss tweeted, "Excellent first date for Dez!!! So important to get off to a good start!!!"
