Well, I don't know about y'all, but after Monday night's premiere of Basketball Wives, I'm curious to see where newbie Tasha Marbury fits in with this illustrious group of "ladies."
Tasha, who is married to former NBA star Stephon Marbury has admitted to agreeing to the show so that she had something independent of being known for the man she married. Stephon used to play for the Boston Celtics, and he's recently signed on to play in China for the Bejing Ducks. While that's great for him, I really just want his wife to make an appearance on BBW because she's rumored to ruffle Shaunie O'Neal's feathers!

Joining the fifth season of the VH1 reality series could seem terrifying to anyone who has ever watched the show, because, let's be honest, the women are scary as poo! They are notorious for running off former cast mates with their violent antics.
Having watched the show, Tasha was understandably wary, but she had her own reasons for joining the cast. She explains to Sister 2 Sister,“I decided to do ‘Basketball Wives’ this year because I wanted to kind of step out of my husband’s shadow, and I thought it would be a great experience…And to do something new.”
She admits that she was unsure of what to expect once the showed filming. Tasha reveals, “I was really nervous, the first three or four times that I filmed. I didn’t know whether there was going to be fighting or things thrown at [me],” adding, “I just didn’t know what to expect. I just prayed about it.”
Of course, while Tasha promises she's not going to be instigating any brawls, she's not a shrinking violet, and she refuses to be a pushover. She tells the site, “I’m trying to walk a thin line where I’m not fighting or arguing, or saying the wrong words. I mean, I’ve said a few curse words, but I haven’t had any fights!”
I, for one, can't wait to see the dynamic that Tasha will bring to the show. At this point, it can't get any worse, right?
