I don't consider myself naive usually. Sure, I have my blonde moments, but I have to say I am disappointed in myself that it never crossed my mind that the Kardashian kover-up krew could be perpetuating the rumors of Lamar Odom's drug abuse.
Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't born yesterday. Lamar is no angel (I'm assuming he does suffer from addiction and a penchant for bedding women who aren't his wife), but it's the deluge in which the gossip is coming that sounds a lot like Kris Jenner is trying to make him seem like a total asshat. If he does have serious problems, he needs help, not a public shaming…although we all seem to be hoping it works for Miley. She can't be tamed, though.
Radar sources share that Lamar “absolutely believes Khloe’s family has been leaking stories to the tabloid press about his drug use, and his trip to rehab last year. Khloe has been very private about Lamar’s drug addiction, as she had done for the past year."

Revealing that Lamar doesn't think that Khloe is a participant in this ambush, the insider adds, “The last thing Lamar needs is for his battle to get sober made public. Khloe is also extremely angry that details about Lamar’s past trip to rehab and recent failed intervention were published on various gossip websites.”
The same family sources explains, “He will be obviously be subjected to increased drug testing by the NBA which has a very tough policy on using illegal substances and steroids….Lamar is a free agent, and of course, that could hurt his chances of being signed by an NBA team. Basketball is Lamar’s life, and it’s been hard for him to go from being a starter, to the sixth man sitting on the bench." Okay, I'm sorry. If there is any truth to this gossip (whether it should be spread is another story), he should be subjected to increased drug testing!
Meanwhile, Lamar's agent is shooting down the stories that the basketballer went missing over the weekend, telling ESPN, “Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is. Playing in the NBA is still very much a part of Lamar’s plans."
The same site alleges that on Monday, Lamar was in the midst of a failed intervention staged by his L.A. Clippers teammates which lasted three hours. An insider states, “There was a bit of time it appeared that Lamar was going to admit publicly his addition and go to rehab, again, but then, he abruptly bolted from the hotel and left the premises.”
Another source echoes this account, saying, “One minute Lamar is agreeing that he needs help and 30 minutes later, he says he just needs to be left alone. This is extremely serious, but there is really nothing anyone can do to save Lamar unless he wants to save himself.”
Believing that Lamar was under the influence during the intervention, the same source adds, “Lamar was sweaty and talking very fast. His hands were shaking and he couldn’t sit still. He kept pacing in the room."
This is all very sad and scary. If things are as bad as they sound, I hope Lamar finally does accept some help. Man, this job is tough when you can't snark!
