Bethenny Kathy Wakile

Kathy Wakile got her baking on with Bethenny Frankel this week.  Kathy stopped by Bethenny's talk show to make cannoli and dish on The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Bethenny quizzed Kathy about her motivation behind joining the show.

Bethenny: How are you finding a balance with  the fact that your entire family is on television and it turned out so differently. You probably thought it was a fun thing when you started and now you are in this web.

Kathy: Well that's what is hard because you don't know what's going to come up and you don't know what everybody else is thinking but at the end of the day my husband and I decided that we are going to do this. Our foundation has always been solid and what happens in our home and behind our doors when we close the door that is going to remain solid. Everything else, is secondary.

Bethenny: Did you have this kind of tension privately with your cousin Teresa before the show?

Kathy: No.

Bethenny: The show really instigated? Do you think it's the fame that does that? Competition?

Kathy: I think what happened was she misunderstood my reasoning for joining the show. I thought it was going to be a fun adventure. I got a point in my life where my children were grown, it was getting to be the empty nester type of thing, they didn't need me as much so what am I doing? Then this opportunity came to me, what am I going to say no I am not going to do it because I might ruffle some feathers?

Bethenny: What do you think it was construed you were doing?

Kathy: That I was coming on there to attack her or to bring her down and that is just totally far from the truth. I tried to be her friend, be the cousin that I always was but that changed things. She thought I was coming on to hurt her.

During their cannoli creating segment, Bethenny brings up the dig that Teresa threw at Kathy's cannolis, calling them "edible" after attending Kathy's event this season.

Bethenny: What happened on the show? That Teresa said they were edible?

Kathy: Yeah, yeah. She was asked about my Cannolis and said, 'Oh, I guess they are edible.' Well she knows damn well they are edible. I just think sour grapes. Women are supposed to support each other not bring each other down.

Tune in tomorrow, Wednesday October 2nd for the full interview!

TELL US – DO YOU THINK KATHY KNEW THE DRAMA IT WOULD CAUSE WHEN SHE SIGNED ON FOR RHONJ? HAS ANYONE TRIED KATHY'S CANNOLI KIT YET?
