Kanye West Pleads “Not Guilty” In Assault Charges Stemming From A Scuffle With A Photographer

Kim Kardashian celebrates her birthday

Yeezy is innocent, y'all. Well, maybe not innocent technically, but not guilty…at least according to him. Remember when the tiny rapper punched a member of the paparazzi in July while having his picture snapped at LAX? Well, the photographer Daniel Ramos finally had his day in court yesterday. How did that go? Let's just say that Kanye West may have interrupted his Honor to tell him that Judge Mathis is the best damn judge…

Okay, that totally didn't happen, but probably only because Kanye wasn't present in court. But if it did, Kanye would be correct!

Access Hollywood is reporting that Kanye pleaded not guilty to the charges of misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft (camera stealer!) through his attorney Blair Berk. Berk appeared on his client's behalf in a Los Angeles Court. According to the site, prosecutors are going forward with this misdemeanor offenses, but they have declined to pursue any felony charges against the rapper. Each charge carries a potential $1,000 fine or up to six months in prison.

Somehow, I don't foresee this being a problem for Kanye given that he probably blows his nose with hundred dollar bills. Can you even imagine? While I don't think I've ever seen Kanye so much as crack a smile (except in the above photo!), I can picture he and Kim Kardashian at home laughing about how silly and cheap the fine is. Let the serfs pay!

The parties will be back in court on January 23rd, and I guess we'll learn Kanye's fate at that time. I kind of feel bad for the guy. First this and then the feud with Jimmy Kimmel? On top of everything, his proposal footage gets leaked as well.  Poor 'Ye just can't catch a break.

TELL US-DO YOU THINK KANYE SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH THE MISDEMEANORS?
