So Mona Scott-Young may be getting sued? Who knew that Love & Hip Hop would ever be the subject of a law suit that wasn't based on someone getting injured in a show-related brawl? Is the idea for that franchise so popular that multiple people thought of the concept at the same time? If that is the case, should we be worried about our culture? Probably, but Mona wins with the discovery of Stevie J. for sure!

MTV and VH1 are apparently being sued for infringement due to Mona's brainchild. However, as the show's creator, Mona has yet to see any formal paperwork. In fact, like us, she's only read about it in the blogs! It seems that someone is claiming that Mona stole their idea for a hip hop reality show. Can't we all just get along? There is plenty of room in the reality realm for multiple trashy shows, right?

Cocoa Fab is reporting on an alleged $50 million suit against Mona for the Love & Hip Hop franchise. Mona reveals, “I read about it on the blogs just like everyone else did. I haven’t been served anything…The only people they’ve served are TMZ and Bossip," adding, “I have to assume there’s some basis to it because these are all very legal looking documents."

Discussing her cash cow, Mona continues, “So many times there are parallel shows being developed within a network. May the best cast prevail.”

Mona explains, “It’s a reality show. I didn’t create these people because I didn’t give birth to them. All I did was shine a camera on a segment of the population that I knew well. You can’t create a reality show. It’s reality.”

The producer isn't concerned that she'll be parting with any of her L&HH cash though, stating, “The truth will prevail. I just want everyone to use a little common sense when processing the information.”

Could we, as a society, really handle more than one hip hop franchise with as much messiness and drama as VH1's Love & Hip Hop? I think not!

TELL US-DO YOU THINK THERE IS ANY MERIT TO THE LAW SUIT? DO YOU THINK MONA STOLE THE IDEA FOR LOVE & HIP HOP?
