Lucky gal Teresa gets more time to spend with her doting husband Joe, but also more time to fret and worry over the possibility of winding up in prison! And that makes Teresa sad, because she doesn’t think they let you bring your shiny, sequined bikini collection to the slammer… She’s watched OITNB – she knows!
As the Real Housewives of New Jersey star faces the very real possibility that she could be headed for prison, Teresa admits she’s petrified and not coping well. “No one can ever prepare themselves to go to prison,” she acknowledges. “More importantly, how could I ever prepare myself to be away from my kids? It’s too terrifying for me to even think about.”

“I’ve had many sleepless nights worrying about being separated from my family,” Teresa confesses to In Touch Weekly. “My family is my everything.” Describing being separated from her daughters as her “ultimate nightmare” she is worried it may become her reality.
In the wake of all of that the Giudice family is dealing with another tragedy – the passing away of Joe Giudice‘s father “NoNo” last month. Thinking about leaving her children is especially hard, “especially with the death of Joe’s dad,” Teresa says.
Still Teresa is trying to remain strong for her family – and focusing on the life she has now, including the upcoming season of RHONJ which begins on Sunday. “But what does not kill you makes you stronger,” Teresa says. “I am here 100 percent for my poor honey and he for me.”
I bet Teresa wishes she hadn’t spent alllll that stolen money, doesn’t she. Because then she might be living in a smaller house, and she might not be on a reality show, but she would be able to sleep at night and she wouldn’t be contemplating missing out on years of her daughters’ childhood while she sits in prison.
In light of hearing Apollo’s sentence I do have to wonder how much – or little – time Teresa may end up doing. She has hired a top-notch defense attorney.
