To promote the new episodes, Kail and Leah have shared details about their individual struggles. The bottom line is, Kail is forever miserable and impossible to please, and Leah is worried about the enormous medical bills stemming from her daughter’s illness.

We’ve seen how nasty and abusive Kail is towards Javi, and if the trailer is any indication, the new season is much of the same. “Divorce is not an option for us,” vowed Kail. Then she went on to pass blame for the stress on her marriage onto her son. “When you have a newborn, things change in your marriage.”
Because special snowflake Kail is never at fault. For anything.
As if that was not annoying enough, then Kail got all “let me show you” how marriage works. “I made my vows to him that I would fight for my marriage,” she said. “I want fans to learn: Work things out with your significant other and don’t fight with them about things you can’t control. Choose you battles.”
Kail needs to take a seat. How she treats people is not to be modeled.
Moving on to Leah, viewers will see her struggle to pay Ali‘s medical bills. Of course Leah wants to do everything in her power to give Ali, who suffers from a extremely rare form of muscular dystrophy, the best care possible, but the best care often comes at a premium price.
“It’s stressful because insurance does not cover the whole cost,” shared Leah. “One bill alone was $20,000.”
Leah acknowledged she receives help from her husband, Jeremy, and her ex-husband and Ali‘s father, Corey Simms, and added that she works too.
About Ali, proud mama Leah said, “She uses big words — like ‘optimistic’ and ‘challenging’ — sometimes things I wouldn’t even think to say. Ali is really smart and she’s well aware of her disease, but she doesn’t let it burden her.”
Perpetual victim Kail could stand to learn a thing or two from sweet little Ali.
