True Tori Started Filming On Thursday…Second Season To Premiere October 21st On Lifetime!

Tori Spelling

Well, color me shocked! True Tori is coming back for a second season. Forget about that very public affair of Dean McDermott that was tabloid fodder for months as he and his wife Tori Spelling prepped for their latest reality series. Pretend like the world didn’t watch as they went to therapy about said infidelity. Let’s not even get started on Tori’s subsequent hospitalization for stress. No big deal! Apparently, it’s all about living life on camera no matter what. Why am I so surprised? After all, I blog about people just like them (lovers of attention, every last one!) almost every single day.

Still, after a very raw and awkward first season, I couldn’t believe that Tori and Dean would put their young family back in the spotlight. I guess I should look for themes. This season will totally be “the rebuilding.” Am I right?

Zap2It reports that Tori, Dean, and crew will be back for a second round of True Tori. According to the site, the show will happen in near real time as Tori and Dean struggle to find happiness and closure after a tumultuous (to put it mildly) first season. I can’t wait. And I feel horrible for feeling that way. In my opinion, some things in any relationship should be dealt with in private, but hey, if you’re going to film it, by gracious, I’m going to watch it!

True Tori began filming on Thursday and will debut Tuesday, October 21 at 9 PM ET on Lifetime. The sophomore season will follow Tori as she continues to focus on saving her marriage, healing the family (and herself), and working on new business ventures. Perhaps new reality shows?

The first installment of the series did extremely well on Lifetime (especially among the ladies), and I have to say that the network that gives us the gem Dance Moms is going to capitalize on the cringe-worthy as much as it can. I know there has been speculation that the couple has created all of this drama to stay in the media, but I just can’t believe that people would stoop to such lows just to remain in the public eye (Kardashians not included). What I do know is that if Lifetime follows the season premiere with a throwback like Mother May I Sleep With Danger? I will totally be tuning in to watch. Without question!
