Kim Richards is doing what any tried and true celebrity (or celebrity wannabe) is doing: turning her bad situation into a publicity grab! After being arrested for public intoxication and battery against a police officer at the swanky Beverly Hills Polo Lounge, the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star has opened up about the incident and her battle with alcoholism in a taped tell-all with Dr. Phil. Two people I utterly cannot stand in one TV segment – I haven’t been this lucky since his hard-nosed chat with Farrah Abraham!
In the sit-down, which will air next Tuesday, April 28th, Kim will take responsibility for her behavior, telling Dr. Phil, “I knew what I had done. The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn’t drink.” Why do I feel like these are just hollow words said in an attempt to redeem her in the eyes of viewers? #WeSeeYou

Kim admits to Dr. Phil that the time of her arrest, she was “angry and frightened and I was scared” but she was well-aware that she was making a bad choice. She will also finally “be honest” about her sobriety and tell the doctor about her long-time struggle with alcoholism.
Kim’s family is said to be very embarrassed and disappointed by this latest incident and they are exhausted of trying to help her get her life together. She is presently estranged from Kyle Richards, as well.
Sources have said Kim is living a lie – until her arrest pretending to the world she was sober while drinking regularly. According to source she is also on her last-leg with Bravo, who is prepared to axe her from the show next season over her arrest, which they don’t feel fits the mold or aspirational lifestyle they want to present for RHOBH.
In additional producers feel Kim is a major liability for the show and worry about being held responsible if her drinking gets out of control again. This has been an on-going issue since Kim joined the show despite stints in rehab and her insistence that her sobriety is fine.
Friends say despite Kim’s arrest she is currently refusing rehab, insisting she doesn’t need it at this time.
