Dance Moms Star Nia Frazier On Her Music Video, Friendship, And Dealing With Abby Lee Miller!

Nia Frazier - Dance Moms

Nia Frazier is the sweet-natured, hard-working fan-favorite on Dance Moms, even if her belligerent dance coach Abby Lee Miller doesn’t recognize her as the amazing person she is.

Nia recently released her first music video, Star In Your Own Life, which she worked on with Aubrey O’Day, and she doesn’t care whether Abby likes it or not, because she’s proud of herself! Nia also shares she’s remained close friends with her former teammates and co-stars Paige Hyland and Chloe Lukasiak, and that all the girls on the show support each other despite Abby’s attempt to cause friction.

Nia gushes that creating her song and video was an amazing process.”It was so exciting to film. Everybody came together to help me,” she exclaims. “I am just so thankful and happy that it’s here!”

Everyone helped except one person: Abby. But Nia has a very mature approach to dealing with her demonic dance teacher’s attitude. “I don’t know if she’s going to help me promote it, but it’s okay because Abby has her own opinions about the music video.”

“I really hoped that [Abby] would be supportive, but if she isn’t, it’s her opinion,” adds Nia. “If she’s not supporting me it doesn’t feel that good, but I have other people who support me.”

Regardless of what Abby thinks, Nia says her fellow-dancers are supportive and they are all very close, even though they’re competitors. Nia praises Kendall’s recent music video. Should we rename this show Music Video Moms? “Kendall and I are really, really good friends. We’re family, we’re just so supportive of each other,” Nia tells OK! Magazine

Nia also remains “really good friends” with Chloe, Paige, and Brooke, even though they are no longer on the show. “We’ve known each other since we were three and we couldn’t just break that connection. We text sometimes and we’re still friends and family.”

As for whether or not Nia will remain on Dance Moms after this season, she declines to answer admitting she “can’t say,” but says she hopes to work on more music. “I still want to dance competitively because I love to dance,” she does share. “I started out as a dancer and I just feel like dancing is my life.”

Let’s just start a show for all the former Dance Moms stars so we can see them dancing, having fun, and beating the tutus off Abby Lee’s ever-revolving team.
