Phaedra Parks has experienced a difficult season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta – but not just for the usual reasons! In addition to the normal Housewives nonsense, Phaedra’s husband Apollo Nida left for prison, which saw their marriage unravel before our eyes, and she also began to have issues with one-time close friend Kandi Burruss.
Phaedra had taken steps towards filing for divorce from Apollo, but recently revealed she is “still married” and will not comment on potential progress in that department, although she has not visited Apollo in prison, nor taken their sons to visit him. Many theorize that Phaedra is waiting to sort out financial matters and until RHOA stops airing and the drama dies-down to bring less attention to the matter. Her latest RHOA blog seems to support this notion.

“My kids are everything to me, and as I have said many times before, everything I do is with them in mind. It has been a difficult time for all of us, and there’s been a lot of pain that people have not seen,” Phaedra explains of her decision not to speak about her marriage or Apollo as of late.
“As a parent, seeing your kids go through something like this is heartbreaking and just thinking about it can make me emotional,” Phaedra expresses. “My kids are so beautiful, inside and out, and they don’t deserve this. It makes me sad.”
“It is overwhelming to be publicly judged and second guessed for the choices I make for my children by people who have not displayed any genuine concern for me or the well-being of my children,” Phaedra continues. “But we are survivors and I am doing everything possible to ensure my sons’ well-being.”
Phaedra adds that her children are doing well and Ayden attends Pre-K and plays soccer. All of this makes me wonder if Phaedra will be leaving RHOA, she mentioned on the reunion that she doesn’t need the show and she has certainly seemed like she isn’t in the emotional space to deal with the drama this season.
