Kristen Taekman Praises All of Her Castmates, Plugs Eboost and Boxing!

The Real Housewives of New York City - Season 7

As lamp fixtures do, Kristen Taekman sometimes decorates the room a bit, but doesn’t add much to the conversation. Commenting in her Bravo blog on this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York, Kristen remarks on everything from Bethenny Frankel’s therapy to Luann de Lesseps’ daughter’s artwork. Oh! And she does have some words for the sparse scenes she was physically present in as well.

“I would like to start out by saying how amazing Ramona [Singer’s] friends are,” begins Kristen, “I know that Bethenny was saying that she didn’t have much in common with any of these women. At first glance neither did I, but in the end we had Ramona in common and sometimes just having a mutual friend in common is enough.” Kristen goes on to defend the entire Upper East Side (those poor unfortunate souls!) claiming, “they are all very lovely, giving, beautiful, supportive women. Many of them are very successful in their own right. During the event, many of them stood up and spoke about their friendships with Ramona.” Kristen is not a fan of Sonja Morgan’s New Age friend, however: “Sonja and the Swami Priestess!? UGH! That Yogi friend of hers gets on my nerves!”

Moving on to Bethenny, Kristen admits, “Therapy with Bethenny was difficult to watch. At this point I have not really gotten to know her at all, so watching this made me and everyone else, I’m sure, just want to give her a hug.” Even though they’ve hardly gotten to know each other thus far this season, Kristen says the session gave her some insight: “She has so much going on past, present, and wondering about her future. And now a kid is involved! She said that she needs help to navigate and she has a hard time trusting…I was thinking this was only applicable to men, but I guess it’s friends, too. Huh…good to know. It’s sad to me that she isn’t able to trust people. Not everyone is out to get her.”

Not one to miss a promotional opportunity, Kristen tells us about her husband’s involvement in promoting the boxing match she was forced to attend by Bravo. “The boxing match was a blast! I was hesitant going into the whole thing,” she says, “Carole [Radziwill] reached out to Josh for www.eboost.com to sponsor her boxer, so I was excited to go and support Team Eboost!” More middle school abuse of exclamation marks follows with Kristen explaining, “At first it was hard to see these guys beating each other up, but after a few beers, ohhhhh I was into it! So, normally the front row is the place to be. Ahhhhh, but NOT at a boxing match! Ewwwww! I am such a germ freak. To make things worse, that mouth guard flew out of his mouth and his spit went everywhere on my leg, in my hand and in my beer!!! Yuck! Sooo gross!!! Thank goodness for my hand sanitizer!”

After a few blase’ shout outs to Bethenny & Luann’s friendship, Victoria’s art show (“Victoria’s art is so captivating! Sexy!”), and Bethenny feeding a melting clown, Kristen tackles the more riveting matter of workouts. “Ramona and Dorinda [Medley’s] work out. Not much to say about this other than how fantastic and strong and beautiful Ramona looks! She is so incredibly fit!” She adds, “Sonja’s workout is hilarious, she is so busy! I met her trainer, who is very sweet! Did anyone else notice that Sonja was working out in her bathroom?” Yes, we noticed. Because it was filmed there.

Adding some praise for Carole’s burgeoning relationship with a younger man, Kristen says, “Carole and Adam seem so sweet together and really enjoying getting to know each other. It’s cute to see them chatting on the phone. It’s always so fun when it’s new, I think Carole was actually blushing! Carole, get back to work! Write that BOOK!” Kristen ends with a final salute to the castmate that everyone is talking about this season – for better or worse – Bethenny. “Bethenny meeting up with her stepdad after 25 years! Wow, this is some heavy and humbling stuff. I can’t even begin to imagine,” Kristen concludes.

So, to sum up Kristen’s blog: a whole lot of positive? Or positively nothing?
