Lizzie Rovsek Dishes on Game Night and Meghan Edmonds; Hints at Baby #3?

As a “Friend of the Housewives” on this season’s Real Housewives of Orange County, Lizzie Rovsek has shown up in a lot of scenes, but hasn’t shared much about her personal story. In her blog, Lizzie tells us what she’s been up to, both personally and professionally (and even hints that she might be pregnant with baby number three!). She also gives us her take on Tahiti, her feelings about newbie Meghan Edmonds, and how Vicki Gunvalson is “a little hard on” Meghan – which Lizzie can relate to, having been the newest Vicki Victim OC Housewife just last year.

Updating us on her swimsuit line, Lizzie shares, “I’m gearing up for the 2016 Sun Kitten Swimwear campaign. I am so excited about the new collection! I’m also shipping suits off this week for Miss Teen USA. Sun Kitten is the official swimwear sponsor of Miss Teen USA (as well as Miss USA).” She also extends kind words to the Edmonds family after their recent loss. “I want to share my condolences to the Edmonds family on LeAnn’s passing. My heart breaks for Hayley and Lauren. They lost their mother way too soon. God has blessed them with a wonderful stepmother in Meghan and a very loving father.”

Launching into the show, Lizzie exclaims, “It’s game night at Meghan’s house! Meghan hosted a really fun little game night. I had a great time with the girls.  I will be honest, I was a little apprehensive about going to a ‘game night’ with this group. We all know what happened last year. I went optimistic and was hopeful that the games were all on the ‘up and up!’  What a pleasant surprise, a fun, drama-free game night!”

Drama free? Maybe that’s an overstatement. Lizzie does confess she didn’t understand what Meghan’s angle was when she announced her desire to start Botox. “When Meghan announced to us that she was getting botox, what did she think the reaction would be? I would say that most women I know start thinking about getting Botox around their early 30s. I didn’t think it was a big deal at all. If I were Meghan I would take Shannon [Beador’s] reaction as a compliment.  She didn’t think she needed it and couldn’t see a single wrinkle on her face. But seriously, what type of reaction was she looking for?”

Lizzie also doesn’t fully understand Meghan’s “unique” living arrangement with new husband Jim Edmonds, but she doesn’t judge them either. “Meghan has been very open about her living situation with her husband Jim. First let me say, I have seen them together and I think they are a great couple and I really like Jim. The Edmonds’ situation is unique, and it’s hard to imagine that it would ever be easy.” She adds, “Meghan’s my friend and when she tells me she hasn’t seen her hubby in weeks, doesn’t know when he’s coming home, etc. I feel for her. I will admit, I really don’t know what to say or have the best advice for her. Different strokes for different folks?”

Packing for Tahiti was tough with a broken rib, says Lizzie, who injured herself slipping on a wet floor and going “airborne” during her kids’ bath time. (Oh Lord, I’ve been there! And that is some scary sh*t!) After not being able to drive for a month, let alone enduring the hassle of chasing her 3 & 4-year old boys around, Lizzie shares that she wasn’t exactly feeling beach-body ready for the Tahiti trip. She admits, “I was leaving for a vacation of fun in the sun and couldn’t even work out before the trip! Bikini what?”

But off to Tahiti she went! Lizzie confesses some nervousness about taking another group trip after last season’s Bali nightmare. She reflects, “I was so ready to have a great trip with all the ladies. Last year’s trip to Bali was awful. It was the most uncomfortable trip of my life and everyone came home upset. I think I stand for all the women, we were all ready to have some fun!”

More excitement may be on the horizon for Lizzie, who hints that she may find out during the Tahiti trip whether she’s pregnant with baby number three. (Yay, babies!) “You haven’t really had the chance to see my personal story this season,” writes Lizzie. “Christian and I had been going back and forth on baby number three. We had been teetering back and forth on when to start trying. Historically, when we have tried or haven’t been careful I have gotten pregnant immediately. I guess you can say I’m pretty fertile.” After trying for a while, Lizzie shares that she felt something had changed before Tahiti. “I am pretty in tune with my body and I knew with both of my boys immediately when I was pregnant. I should have known better that I wasn’t going to get away with drinking water on this trip, but wasn’t for sure if I was pregnant or not and before I left it was too soon to tell with an OTC pregnancy test. I guess I will find out on this trip if I am!”

As for the petty drama between Meghan and Shannon, Lizzie is playing it fairly neutral for now, although she does think Meghan should own up to hurting Shannon’s feelings. She comments, “I was not ‘judging’ Meghan on her situation with Shannon. However, it doesn’t take a genius to observe that she picks on Shannon. I was curious to know if they made amends after the JDRF party. Meghan and Shannon are both my friends. I stand up for my friends, that’s just what I do. No, I don’t think Meghan has been particularly nice or fair to Shannon. But I guess it doesn’t matter what I think. Meghan doesn’t care or feel bad in the least which I find a little perplexing. Why would you not care that you hurt someone’s feelings?”

In other not-so-fun news, Lizzie reveals that her largest suitcase was initially lost on the trip to Tahiti, but she made the best of it. She jokes, “I am in paradise and I’m gonna rock this dirty tank top and my booty shorts and hope my luggage arrives soon!”

Closing her blog with reflections on Vicki, and particularly on Vicki’s classically viscous treatment of RHOC newbies, Lizzie expresses empathy for Meghan in her new role. “Do I think Vicki was hard on Meghan? Yes, I do think she was a little hard on her,” asserts Lizzie. “Typically, Vicki gives the new girls a hard time. Vicki was not particularly nice or welcoming to me last year when I joined the group. I think Vicki likes to test out the new girls and see how strong they are. Nevertheless, I think Vicki (like most of us) are trying to figure out Meghan and get to know her better. Vicki, like everyone in this group, has a right to her opinion.  I’m not too worried about Meghan either, she’s a pretty tough cookie.”
