Len Goodman Will Not Return To Dancing With The Stars!

Len Goodman - 10 year anniversary party for Dancing With The Stars

It’s the end of an era for Dancing With The Stars as long-time judge and driving force Len Goodman‘s departure is confirmed.

Len, a judge since season one, initially announced his planned departure from the show last December when he expressed that the back and forth travel to film DWTS placed too much of a burden on his family and his other career commitments. “I just need a bit of time off to get on with a normal life,” he said at the time.

Many anticipated Len would change his mind and be back for the upcoming season. Instead it’s official that after 10 years on the show, Len has hung up his ABC dancing shoes and waltzed away!

Dancing With The Stars executive producer Rob Wade confirmed Len’s parting was indeed due to scheduling conflicts, along with his desire to spend more time with family. “Len will not be returning as a judge this season on Dancing with the Stars due to his schedule as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K. and the birth of his new grandson,” Rob Wade informed People.

Those hoping for more Len, likely won’t be disappointed as the executive producer reveled the veteran judge may still have “some involvement” going forward. “We will have to wait and see,” he explained. “We are planning on having great guest judges for some shows to join Bruno [Tonioli], Carrie Ann [Inaba] and Julianne [Hough], and I’m sure we will see Len in the ballroom again soon.”

DWTS has a history of people coming and going; case in point Karina Smirnoff is back again this season, so I expect we’ll see Len return to his seat on the judges panel sometime soon.
