Now that we’re heading into the home stretch of this season’s Real Housewives of Orange County, it’s apparently not all Aries parties and Woo-Hoo-ing for (former?) besties Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson. Though she stayed loyal to Vicki and her many delusions about Brooks Ayers despite the ladies’ growing skepticism of Brooks’ cancer status, Shannon revealed her own skepticism this week’s episode. Which has led to a more serious rift in their friendship since then, says Shannon.
Shannon argues that she was “loyal to a T” when it came to defending Vicki all season on RHOC. But she told E! News in an interview this week, “When you’re my friend, you’re my friend for life. It’s just that there were so many different, inconsistent stories.”

Shannon also told E! that the finale is basically a showdown between the former friends. “I’m just gonna say, ‘Shannon vs. Vicki.’ That pretty much describes the finale to me,” she declares.
As the RHOC ladies head into reunion taping soon, Shannon admits she and Vicki have “hardly spoken.” And that’s a-okay with her. In times of conflict like this, Shannon says, “I go dark. I don’t need all this stuff in my life. I don’t need all this added drama that makes no sense to me so I just shut it down.”
Much like Heather Dubrow, Shannon seems to have largely danced around the drama – and the Nancy Drew sleuthing of Meghan Edmonds – until now. It makes one wonder if both women heard some pivotal news that swayed them each to get more involved in the big ole’ mess? Heather even shared on her blog that “it was Brooks himself that pulled me into it!” but that we “will have to wait and find out how that happened.”

With both women hinting that more dirt will be revealed in the finale, viewers are left wondering: what dirt? Until then, Shannon claims she’s fine keeping her distance from Vicki. “There’s no need for me to talk to her if I’m going to keep getting accused of not being a good friend and drinking the Kool-Aid…What kind of Kool-Aid is that? I don’t get that.”
